The Playoff experience these homegrown kids are receiving (and gaining) will improve this Thibs led squad and for many of years to come too.

See Below

🔷Both Quentin Grimes and Mitchell Robinson (as Homegrown Knicks) both making their NBA Playoffs debut(s).

🔶While kids such as Immanuel Quickley, R.J. Barrett and Obi Toppin have (all 3) earned an opportunity (under Thibs) @ their 2nd taste of NBA Playoffs (together) alongside of one another.

🔷Then we've got two Energizers in Josh Hart and iHart both making their NBA Playoff Debut(s).

🔶And last but not least (and most importantly) two NBA SUPERSTAR Players (@ PG and @ PF) in both Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle; both getting their 2nd opportunity @ NBA Playoff basketball.

Right now this entire team is getting battle tested and it's really fun to know it's happening.

I recall watching a summer league game where IQ, Obi, Deuce, Grimes, Sums, and Rokas played. I recall saying other teams might be envious of our young talent while other posters ( other Knick site ) could only complain about who the Knicks didn't draft instead of our players. I mean things like we should have had Haliburton and Bane, we should have drafted blank too. But not enjoying the potential on hand. Things are bright for the team for once

The fun is the journey too. Young players are far from surety but as a fan most gratifying when they work thru adversity.
Still breaks my heart to see guys like Frank and Knox not make it but thats part of the game.
IQ has really shown up this year after some rocky moments.
One has to hope RJ can put it all together. Its weird because he has demonstrated it all. He has shot well from the three (40% season), can defend well, improved FT% over time, can pass, can play make, and does stay healthy. He got stronger, finishes much better to the rim, his right hand is well improved.
He has yet to do it all at once over a long stretch.
His inconsistency is either a worry or encouraging.
Depends on what numbers to torture.

I remember that as well. Several knick fans were saying, it’s summer league against non nba players. But the synergy these young guys showed with a level of enjoyment while dominating was great to see. I gotta give thibs credit for adding young coaches to his staff like Johnny Bryant (and others) who can relate to this young team. This is also a sign of a solid FO and their talent evaluation. Great job from top to bottom and that includes Dolans hands off approach.

Still not sure what "World Wide Wes" does, but maybe best we don't really know. He works in the shadows?
