![]() The picks from Cleveland have a very good chance of being top 10 lottery picks.
Mitchell can opt out after the 2024/25 season. Ainge never cared about the players. He wanted picks. Utah had the better picks to trade since the 3 time All Star player they traded will likely opt out before the picks convey. Really nothing to see here. Knicks didn't have the better offer. Ainge only wanted certain Knicks players in the deal because he thought it would negatively impact and weaken the Knicks increasing the value of the draft picks being conveyed to Utah (unprotected). It's all pretty simple if look at it logically. |

![]() The idea that Ainge made any move simply “for spite” is absurd. He is the GM of an NBA team and must answer to the owner, organization, and fans. I reckon pretty much everything we have heard about Knicks/Jazz/Mitchell is complete horses#!t. But that doesn’t keep fans and especially media from throwing it all out there as how it went down.

Anything to crap on the Knicks. If we traded for Mitchell they’d laughing about what a heist Ainge got back. |

![]() danny ainge is vastly overrated.
check his draft picks. And i'll say he got lucky with Tatum. if he knew Tatum would be as good as he is he would have kept the number 1 pick. He has had a lot of duds. He has also alienated and mistreated people along the way. Isiah Thomas (the smaller one) effectively ruined his career playing through injury only to be snubbed. Didn't Horry through a towel in his face this year celts turned there season around when they brought back glue guys Ainge had jettisoned. I hope Utah fumbles on his watch. (5)(7)

Yup, it's easier to be the seller, when it comes to buying or doing equal trades he's failed more often than not to execute even the most basic trades. Though the Kyrie trade was impressive at the time (how he got the Cavs to settle for just an additional second when they realized that IT was damaged goods I'll never understand). Still the way he treated IT left it's mark for FA's- the way he treats players and his reputation is a hurdle when it comes to free agents wanting to sign with him. |

![]() Im just day dreaming here, if there is any truth to the reports that Ainge sent Mitchell to the cavs instead of the knicks out of spite, what if the Knicks shifts gears midseason if things aren't doing well and tanks. We all know that Ainge has his eyes on Wenbanyama. The Karma gods will finally bless the knicks and they win the lottery selecting Wenbanyame while the Jazz falls back a few picks landing late lottery. Highlighting the value of the Knicks pick.
