Thinking of getting this tweet is all that motivates Ainge- he’ll be beating himself off to it as we speak!

He still has tradeable vets/assets to garnish more picks...
Conley, Bogdanovic, Clarkson, Beasley, Gay, THT, Johnson.

Some may even say that is a tough lineup to go up against.

Thought that came from Hahn, but struggling to find it now...

Ok, lets send Randle, Drose, and some picks for Mosely!

I think it is smart that those don't kick in until 3 years from now when their young core should be better developed, but man, I think they paid too much. They don't have much downside protection.

Garland, DM, Okoro, Mobley, Allen are pretty good downside protection. They are all young and on high trajectories. Not like they traded all their young proven players for some old guy. Lauri and Sexton were on downtrend and Agbaji still needs to prove he is good. Pretty sure they can get those picks back if they needed to pivot from DM and Garland. But time will tell. As it will for us. Right now the Knicks are betting that Grimes, Obi and RJ 5 Picks will be better than DM. Think that is a good bet.

OK, wasn't Hahn, but I haven't completely lost it!

Phew. We may not get the results we want on the court (alot of that is luck and takes time) but I appreciate the measured appproach of the front office and their insistence we get good value in the trades.

Or Kuzma… who might be a better fit and cheaper if Brunson/Randle/RJ is a clunky fit.

Honestly I don’t want to get on the next trade rumor. Let’s see what this team can do.

It seems like the majority of fans are ok with the Knicks not gutting all their assets. Of course the media are already bashing the Knicks for not giving into Ainge.

Not mad that we missed on this one. Let's keep developing our youth and roll with what we got. We are a playin team with or wothout Mitchell somply due to the strength of teams ahead of us.

They do it to cover for the fact they all said he was going to the Knicks all summer and no one else was in the running. Then when it doesn’t happen, rather than question the accuracy of their reporting, they laugh at us for believing their stories

Downside I am worried about is injury. I agree it’s a great young team. I’d say their youth movement is a couple years ahead of ours such that they can make that move. But lightning strikes and they could be down for a decade.

My positives from this development.

1) Brunson gets to know the squad before we add another impact player, maybe an all-star.

2) Fournier gets to make a case to remain in NY. Broke Starks 3pt record in an off-season.

3) Brunson will bring change, but this roster still has a great deal of continuity. Brunson will be working with players who know each other' game.

4)We get to see our young core return, never know who will surprise us.

5) All those first round draft picks!!

6) The Knicks walked away from a massive deal, thats historical..lol.

If Mitchell was a two way player, it might have been worth it. Glad the FO didnt blink.

I haven’t been tuned in but I assume Stephen A has jumped right into his Knicks bash clown act. Berman’s reporting was muted but had a few little swipes tucked in. I did see a review of tweets aimed at New York for assuming Mitchell would be a Knick. That wasn’t us! It was the gasbags who as usual will take zero accountability for their BS.
