In a court of law domestic violence is never justified. In a court of public opinion (and my own personal opinion) the surrounding circumstances matter. If he has been a good husband otherwise, and his wife has been cheating or humiliating him to no end, then I would not mind having him on the team.

So, where I am going with this is that I might find some understanding for a person who may lose his $*it when facing such enviable prospects.

You can get mad, lose your s***, fine- nothing wrong with getting angry. How on earth do you leap from that to choking/punching/hitting your wife AND in front of you kids is okay/ understandable. Pathetic. If you can't control your rage, get out of the f***ing situation and don't beat your partner, you are not the f***ing victim. People who physically abuse their partners are pathetic- the "oh I couldn't control my rage" is total BS- do you think if their partners were twice the size of them and twice as strong, they'd still have trouble containing their rage?

I have some sympathy for people who cannot control their rage over losing their savings, kids and dignity all in one fell swoop to a conniving and cheating partner.

I have no sympathy for people who cannot control their rage with respect to a generally decent and loyal partner.

So my personal feelings towards Bridges being on the Knicks will depend on where his case ultimately falls given the full context.

But this is not how the law operates, granted, at least not in California, where the Bridges family seem to live.
