US?
More like bing bong fans. Without knowing the bigger picture there was no point to criticize. Like I said before, Leon and company have backups to their backup plans. That’s why every year they interview the interior draft of prospects. They they create multiple use cases so when a situation aligns with their preparation, it’s easier for them to pivot. It’s hardEF for them to explain which is why Rose takes the quiet treatment more often.
Leon is playing chess fellas. He hasn’t met my expectations but that’s because I’m one of many oldschool fans who’s been through the embarrassing years. We won 1 playoff game in 10 years.
I’m not a Brunson fan and not a fan of giving a max contract to a small guard who’s actually my height and weight. But if I remove the jealousy, I believe Brunson can hold his own similar to a Vanvleet cloan.
But we or some of us screamed all year, play the yoots. Develop the yoots. Don’t give thibs any options this time. Force him to play the yoots by getting rid of Kemba and adding Brunson. That instantly removes Burks from the starting PG roll. Elevates or sustains IQ current mins and allows IQ to continue to shape up his craft. And Brunson is another older player IQ can learn from and learn with.
Brunson is a team guy with iso abilities. Vs most PGs are iso first and doesn’t help others grow. Ivey might be that type for the first few years. He’s less of a passer than ja Morant and his strength is playing downhill and scoring. Brunson is a throwback PG who looks to be a lead PG vs Ivey and all these young players entering the draft are looking to get their own. There was only a few like dyson Daniel’s who’s a great passer as a PG. Others are great scoring PGs. I believe Brunson is both. And he doesn’t have to be an all star in order to positively impact the team. Charlie ward wasn’t an all star but at the time he was just an important as Allan Houston who was the big pay guy on the team.
Let the youth development continue while we stay competitive and yoots gain some playoff experience.
