But honestly for the first time in a long time which feels like forever, the team is well positioned and the roster is basically a good one. All the youth can play, in MY opinion they all stick on an NBA roster for meaningful minutes.
Aside from Kemba, there are no dead contracts or overpaid players, and Kemba's is small and expiring. No albatrosses. No Joakim, Amare, Penny Hardaway, Steve Francis, Jerome James, Glen Rice, Antonio McDyess, Eddy Curry, etc (the list is endless) multi year disasters. I believe Rose and Noel will be back and contribute and are plus players on short contracts away.
Even Randle has value in spite of this year's regression. It's basically the *opposite* of the Isiah years of multiple ****ty contracts (all of them?)
And the team has all it's own picks going forward, plus others as a bonus. So many, they'll have to trade some to consolidate. I think the future is bright, or at least has potential to be. It's not a championship squad, but it's not hopeless like so many years in the past either.

Speaking of Noah he is finally off our cap sheet. Finally the stink of Phil Jackson is gone.

Kemba tried. He should retire if he can’t go. He was given respect and he could not deliver. In return he should walk away if he is not tradable. I like the guy alot. Its a shame. I won’t villainize the guy for trying.
IQ might have some blame in this. He took too long to get it together? Maybe?
McBride was way too green after really one outstanding year in college. His progress is and was a surprise.
Burks was a stop gap player and he was decent enough.
Rose earned his 2 year contract. He got hurt. it happens. We should move him and let him chase a ring as a back up. Time to move forward with yoot, or if a trade materializes.

We are very deep and its obvious prime for consolidation trade.

Not sure either party wants that. Thibs and Taj is Rose's NBA family. If they're here, I just don't see him wanting to bolt for a ring.

Meanwhile Thibs is definitely going to cling to Rose. I wonder what the return would be like on a Rose trade - definitely ain't moving him for DSJ and a 2nd! Guess that's for Leon to weigh.

I hope Rose sticks. Rose and Taj are our on court coaches. I think they help make the youth movement progress naturally, not deter from it.

Aside from that, it's just fun watching Derrick Rose play basketball.

Derek Rose was also the best player we had on the court, which is scary.

I don't see him wanting to leave.

Rose was definitely an integral part but you must have forgotten what Randle did last year?

I'm not. What did we do without Rose? What did Randle do without Rose?

I really thought Rose was the best talent we had. The record kinda does speak to that being true.
