Simmons is thin-skinned, unlike Randle? Simmons is more talented than Grant and Randle. Why not shoot for the sky if a trade were available?

Talented at what, exactly? FT shooting? Running away from the ball come playoff time? The incredibly valuable talent of being 6 foot ****ing 11 and not being able to fathom being coached into learning in 4 years how to take and make an effing 10 foot jumper?

Unless I'm missing something, flipping a thumbs down to a bunch of fans and whining at refs WHILE PLAYING compared to sitting out an entire season because you're pansy azz is all butt hurt from people not saying nice things about you is about as far apart on the thin skin spectrum as you can get.

Yes, please sign me up for $30MM a year for Bent Richard Slimmons.

To be honest, there have been plenty of games when Randle was active and I still thought he was sitting out. Did you not see Randle walking away from the bench and talking to his family during a timeout? This Simmons thing is part of the business. I'm not taking much away from it. And as much as you want to kill Ben for that playoff series, Randle was just as bad.

Simmons would melt into a puddle of yellow spinal fluid and tears after a month or two in NY.

But we have some good wings who play both ends and can really shoot it. Mitch is a constant lob threat. Simmon's drive and dish game would look pretty good with guys like RJ/IQ/Grimes/Reddish/McBride getting after it on both ends and can really score in bunches.

If the deal was reasonable in terms of other players and draft compensation would you consider this? Not even so much for this year but moving forward.

Simmons is 24. We have a bunch of good athletic 2 way guys on the perimeter in RJ/IQ/Grimes/Reddish/McBride
We have good rim protectors in Mitch/Noel and Taj/Sims have a nice place.

Also that defense would sick.

With the assets needed to get this done, I would rather get Murray from the Spurs. I also cannot get the vision out of my head of Simmons on the court and defenders backing up 5 feet to let him shoot the ball.

Randle is making Marbury look mentally stable on the court.

Preaching to the choir. I was literally getting called a retarded person last summer for saying we should trade him

Couple of wins and you'll no doubt change your mind again. Or disappear.

More like just a puddle of piss. He would actually need a backbone to melt into spinal fluid. And I'd give him just two weeks of practices with Thibs and the media laughing and pointing at his jumpshots.

100%

Totally agree as well.
I can't help but wonder if we would feel the same about Deuce if given the playing time.

He had one really good freaking outing, 15 points, 9 assists, 2-5 from 3pt land, 6-11 overall. Against a bad Houston team but it's still impressive. I think he'll have a nice career if he puts in the work and it looks like he is

I'll be honest, I don't understand the want for Jalen Brunson. I don't see much separation from Jalen and Deuce (other than Brunson having time to develop). Maybe I'm just being a homer though

They came out of college with vastly different PG skill sets. One is much stronger on the defensive side of things while being a very good scorer, the other is more of a traditional PG who was an integral part of that winning Villanova team and is not as strong defensively.

I see them both as flawed, cerebral PGs of similar value. Maybe I'm being oversimplistic here

I know I'm hijacking this about Brunson but I don't understand the infatuation. He's the 'offensive Charlie Ward.' When was Charlie ever good enough here? 'The oFfensive Charlie Ward' makes him sound like Chris Duhon to me
