Thinking of the “Bing Bong” morons breening with arrogance in front of the garden like we just won Ecf’s enroute to finals!

I don’t miss those idiots.

You miss what the nba used to be before Stern pussified the game with defensive 3 second rules in the 2000’s. Now every game is a glorified 3 point shooting contest with score 120-110

If anything drives that point better is when the ref said that Randle was TOO STRONG and therefore had to make calls against him to protect weaker players.

NBA officiating has always been a sh tshow but it’s really become comical last 10 years or so. James Harden gets fouled if players breathe near him and Giannis gets to travel maybe 20x a night

Blame the Mets, Jets and Giants

All those franchises are in such a horrible state that their fans have to hyperidealize the Knicks because they had a good season last year and now the sky is falling because we were supposed to be 20-3 by now

Say what you want about Labor, but he was a major contributor on some very good St. John's teams. I always root fo him.

Agree...Bad decision to not bring Pinson back. He was the heartbeat of the bench. Imagine how he would impact this years bench, which is already killing. Or what he would do to the starters, on every good play? He was cheap salary wise, so it didn't make any sense.

I think they messed up with Linsanity as well, because of a poision pill contract, that probably looks normal now with todays contract. The Knicks and Lin could've really put their mark on knick history or NBA history. Lin was in Dantoni's system, and it was a perfect match. I don't call it magic, because thats down playing Lin's skill set. He was balling in college...Harvard or Yale? I forgot the college, but I remember him having a nice balance with a mid range game, driving to the hoop and playing unselfish in college. But Lin and Dantoni could've went far with that 7 seconds or less system, and we could've been the Golden State of the east.

I miss the 90's, grew up watching the 90s Patrick Ewing era. I miss Anthony Bonner, Mason, Oakley.....Old School, THROW BACK real power forwards. Todays PFs play like yesterdays SFs. Centers are now PFs. So the 90's era was the last time we had a real balanced team, that was consistently in the playoffs every year and respected as a team for a good 10 years. We was mentioned as one of the top teams in the east, who would give the Bulls and other teams a run for their money.

Thinking about the 90's reminds me why we might be strugling right now. Randle is a 90's PF. He's a THROW BACK. Thats probably why it's hard to build around him. In the 90's, at least on the knicks, the PF's were complimentary pieces or solid role players. Junk Yard dog types. We just need Randle to be that Junk Yard Dog, killing the post and focus on scoring. Lets get another star or groom a star to compliment that. Trying to make Randle something his not, aint working.

(speaking to Leon Rose and the FO now).

We need to make a trade in the worse way, or go on a fire sale like the Pacers and OKC do every season. This mediocre stuff is for the birds. Tired of getting bounced out of the 1st round or not making it all together. We either go for it by making some minor trades, nothing crazy. Adding Turner and Muray for Mitch, draft picks, etc.....I'm ok with that level of trading. But I'm not trading our youths, unless it's a championship level trade. Or tank and get a high draft pick. I really don't see a 3rd option this year. Not after what we did last year and came into this season on a high horse called expectations.

You are right. We took a gamble and replaced the whole backcourt. So far it has been a fail. We got set back, I think. But we still have assets to improve

We are in the cradle of NBA mediocrity. Too good to be bad, too bad to be good, and perennially **** out of luck.

We have a couple good things going. We finally have a winning culture here. We have also been drafting much better in recent years and the days of 1 or 2 player drafts are over. You can find good players late first/second round
