Let's be realistic. For him, we can possibly get a player or players who are also out of rotation and their total salary is around 9 million.
Well yeah if it’s another team trying to dump a bad contract on us no thanks. I’d much rather keep Kemba on a cheap deal. 2005 Isiah no longer is managing this franchise at least I hope
We have a player out of rotation 20 games into a two year deal. Thats a bad contract.
Trades are essentially $ for $ (15% either way) per season so if its a one for one its 9mil per.
Or two 4.5’s. Or 3 at 3mm per.
It’s a 2 year $17 million deal. By today’s standards that’s a cheap deal in the nba
Elf is going to be bricking in the G-league or China in 2 years. Ditto for DSJ.
And btw Kemba will be back in the Knicks rotation faster than you think
First off not everything is about ELf. HE gets paid 2.5 mil and not in the rotation.
Kemba makes 9mil to do the same.
In a one sentence mind, its pretty simple. Both are bad contracts.
Elf in China or G-league? Really? Thats your answer to things? Last I saw nobody saying we should have kept him and not signed Kemba.
DSJ? WE got DRose for him. How good was that. Anyone miss DSJ? Not around here.
If you buy a ugly coat for $250 its an ugly coat If you paid $900 for an ugly coat that used to be in style, its still an ugly coat.
It might come back in style. Then its valuation will change.
Few weeks ago Kemba was a low risk great thing. Now he sits. Bad contract.
Nobody said it stays that way.
