It depends. If the FO identifies someone they like, then should definitely try to move up. But such a move should definitely done within reason. If moving the first rounders gets you into the mid-lower lottery, I'd have no problem with that move. But that doesn't seem likely.
I'm in this camp. The fact that draftniks say there's a lot of parity simply means that in the abstract they can't place one person definitively ahead of another. But in the context of the Knicks and what they're trying to do someone might have extra value and be worth the move.
Remember when Suns drafted Cam Johnson and caught all that flak for over-drafting someone they could have gotten lower (according to the experts), or how we overdrafted IQ.
Personally i still like the WTF picks because it at least exhibits independent thinking, rather than the lazy "I can't believe player XXX fell to us"
