Hes 26 and didnt get consistent minutes. Don't hold your breath expecting him to be adding win shares to the team. His ceiling is replacement level.

Maybe he's a replacement level player... but if you say he's replacing playoff Elfrid, that's a plus. :)

Seriously, he has a good shot to be an upgrade over Knicks Elfrid. One unspoken bit is that he had the life experience of being, effectively, the playoff MVP a season ago. He's a heady PG/playmaker that makes things happen. He's a leader of men, taking them all the way to a championship vs other pros. He didn't do it by overwhelming scoring every game - he led his team, plain and simple, doing whatever was necessary to secure wins.

But yeah, I think we all acknowledge that it's hard to translate the play between different leagues and systems. We're all hit or miss when looking at college superstars and projecting what they'll look like in the NBA.

And if you look at Olympics/national team play as indicative of a player's NBA awesomeness, well boy all of those players we covet on Team USA pretty much stink if we look at their stats and minutes.

Anyway, here are scenes from Vidoza's MVP award ceremony.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

Thats a nice move. He didn't shoot great, but he ended up 11 pts and 5 assists no turnovers. Then again Argentina got their asses kicked by Luca and 11 random guys.

there's a very Austin Rivers feel here yeah... I am feeling the same you are, but Rivers was also useful for a good 20 minutes.

Idk how good Luca's handle is. As we havent heard of it I suspect its NBA average but we will see. We know he's had at least one big tourney, we know he's aggressive, we know his shot looks solid but not extraordinary I mean its likely a chemistry thing and does he hit shots and defend well enough to crack the rotation.

He has some flash on his dribble. He can use his dribble to get himself open. But I haven't seen him enough to say he is a consistent ballhandler that can take care of the ball and not be exploited by a press etc.
