I'm not opposed to trading Frank. I wouldn't do the trade at all, but Frank is not in the FOs plans. But Rose and Payton don't make sense on the same roster. Someone needs to save Thibs from himself.

Look I’ve known Frank is probably a goner and honestly he deserves a fresh start somewhere else BUT I’m afraid that Thibs is pushing hard for Rose enough for us to do something stupid and give up a Frank AND Detroit’s second rounder. Plus like how having Rose AND Payton makes zero sense and only hurts Quickley in terms of minutes

What a way to ruin our win. Brainless move from FO. He doesn’t shoot. He dosent play D and his efficiency this poor. Why? Why the hell are we so allergic to getting PGs who can space the floor?

I’ve been very happy with the FO and Thibs UNTIL today. This reminds me of the Steve Francis trade. Made zero sense but the coach pushed for it. Thibs is hell bent on getting his old crew back together even though it makes no sense.

I’m not opposed to bringing him back, but Elf has been making me eat my words lately. You could imagine Thibs using both the same way. Would seem to be pulling minutes from Quick which I don’t like.

If it were a swap for Elf, would the Knicks be better?

We'd have a faster pace, but give up more points. I could imagine a gimpy Dame dropping 50 if Rose guarded him today. Plus, Rose pounds the ball harder than Harden pounds exotic dancers. You thought ball movement sucked before? Plus, is Thibs really going to load manage them knees?

I don't understand this. What does Rose provide that improves the team? Are we trying to take minutes from Quickley? Are we trying to take shots from Barrett? We want to become a worse defensive team?

So, maybe we should be looking at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander instead. Having a pretty solid year on a bad team and the entire OKC squad appears available

Detroit’s been trying to get Frank for years Sekou agent has a lot of sway there same reason they took Hayes. They got a French thing going on.

what is the trade for?

I could see Rose in River's spot. Rose/IQ pairing would be an explosive scoring combo and nice shooter/floater guy paired with a slasher drive/dish guy.

I am guessing its Dennis Smith and he's gonna be their Mudiay?

he's got another year on his rookie deal and he's easily their best player. What do we have that makes any sense? I would thing their starting price would be IQ/Obi + both 2021 FRPs

Maybe move is made with Quickly becoming a starter, Rose as 6th man and Payton getting traded.

A lot of ifs. You think Thibs, who is clearly the one pushing for this, will have his loved player come off the bench?

For all the hate on Payton, I think this isn’t the right move to get rid of him unless you have a good deal for him.

And trading Frank for him is really sad. Frank looked like a typical Thibs player and somehow he found himself in the doghouse. If they have to add anything else, this would be a pathetic trade.
