Unfortunately how did that turn out for either one?

Well my major point is that rushing to conclusions is stupid. Frank was roasted for two years plus by the DSJ camp -- of the two I'd say Frank at least has some NBA future. Of course there are phony revisionists who say we should have taken Mitchell. Well, yeah, only no one was saying it at the time. And now the lead heads trash Obi and wet their pants over who they thought we should have taken. Maybe they're right but perhaps we let Obi play another game or two first.

Vassell/Courtney Lee types can be found at any time. In fact, is he any better than Burks? Vassell will probably look better early because he's playing on a better team. Don't get fooled into thinking he would look the same way with the Knicks. I would rather swing for the fences with Obi than draft another wing guy capable of being the 4th guy in the rotation.

I don't think we had the luxury of passing on Obi. Vassel is basically a smaller Reggie Bullock( prior to joining the Knicks ) Guys like that are available as free agents every year

As for thread topic. Vassell is a mute point. We picked the best player available. Happy with pick. Anyone pushing the narrative of Vassell, who I liked early but changed my mind after seeing his shooting mechanics, is short sighted after just 2 games.
