The main difference is Obi is in shape. Diaw wasn’t dunking above the rim on anyone. I think Obi is going to be a great compliment to RJ and if the Knicks come away next year with Cade, Green, or Suggs he’ll fit get in a trio as well.

Toppin and Quickley might be really good NBA players but its not likely they are next year. This isn't the worst team in the nba not even close. Obi isn't the typical rookie he's 22 and already has an nba body and polished offensive game. I expect him to contribute immediately, hopefully as a starter, and possibly even compete for ROY.

If Frank and Mitch get enough run this can be a good defensive team. They finished 17-27 last season once they got rid of the stiff Fizdale and they improved the roster.

Yep that is exactly what Obi could be for us. Obi’s passing as a big is what really makes him special but he’ll have a good overall offense. The only real difference is Diaw was good at defense when he was younger
