It was not a claim, or a prediction as far as I could tell.
It was a WORST case scenario, as the title of the thread says.
A "what-if" scenario for discussion purposes...

It was a claim that 7-22 was possible. It's sad someone would be that pessimistic

Well I'd think that our worst case scenario would still be better than that....

That's because you're not an extreme pessimist. To even think 7-22 was a reasonable possibility or a reasonable worst case scenario is absurd, but it shouldn't suprise us coming from Briggs.

I've been saving this thread under favorites for a while. We'll see the final results at the end of December.
Technically, even though it is a VERY UNLIKELY (can't emphasize that enough), it is still possible to go 7-22.

Hopefully that possibility will be gone in a matter of hours.

Yeah, I save threads too when someone (often Briggs) makes unbelievable claims. I have two other Briggs' predictions saved (one at the start of the season where he said the team could win 45 games and one after the team had a slow start and he said another poster was being ridiculous in claiming that the team could win 47).

I do save threads from other people occasionally just for the fun of it, but they don't say shocking things nearly as often. Islesfan used to but he doesn't post here often anymore. (I'm not exactly crying over that.)

This revival is pathetic.
The thread was not that it WOULD happen,
but IF it did happen, what would you do as GM?

He obviously (and sadly) thought that it was a *legitimate possibility*; otherwise, why would he even start this sad thread? Personally, I think 22-7 is more likely than 7-22. If you really can't handle the revival of this thread, then just ignore it. Obviously, you're in the minority because many people are still replying to the thread.

Ok, it's official, it is impossible.
Let's bring this back after December.

But it's still possible that the team would finish 8-74. I mean, what would you guys do if the team finished 8-74. Don't respond here, though. We need a new thread to discuss this possibility!

Bonnie, this is very snit like saving posts then doing the nanny nanny poo poo thing.

Seriously, you need a girlfriend. IF you find one whom will tolerate you, you will find that this stuff is really not very important at all.

Buy a dog, do volunteer work, Read more.

Briggs is a smart poster and knows what he is talking about, and is usually RIGHT. Not always, but usually. Why are we bringing this threat back up to harrass him? How stupid.

I think Briggs actually predicted something close to where the Knicks are now. This is just a worse case scenario thread. What do we do if we are that bad. But we are in a good position now. 2 games above .500, thanks to me (Because I was at the game). Bonn, why do you let the more negative posters bother you all the time?

The point was not to harass BRIGGS. Yes, he is a very smart poster, with a ton of basketball knowledge, but it just seems too often as though he is giving the Knicks the short end of the stick.
When you feel so strongly about a team, and someone tells you there's a chance they'll go 7-22, it just sort of gets under your skin, whether it's meant to or not.

The point was to wait until after December and compare the actual results with the predicted possibility. In no way, shape, or form was it meant to be a harassment, and I apoologize if it was taken as one, but come on, the only wins we would get in this thread were from Clips, Atlanta, Toronto, Charolette, and Jersey.

Only thing that count is the following :

KNICKS' RECORD

This season 8-6

Last season 5-9

btw, I agree with nalodie, bonnie should buy a dog.

bonnie, buy a girl dog!

By the way, the team was breaking down and getting killed at that time. Huge defensive lapses, and THERE WAS A POSSIBILBILTY if the team going thud.

You don't offer any insight other than your regurgitated comments that state the obvious. You don't stick your neck out. I don't for that matter either to the extent that Briggs does. When you make bold statements and offer insight, there are times you are right, and times you are wrong. Thats life buddy, nothing risked, nothing gained. Briggs and some others will be wrong, but they are somthing.

Im sure you thought you were quite the clever humorist by saving this stuff and getting all full of yourself by bringing it out. Question is, what bold prediction or insight did you offer? In fact, nobody can claim any great knowlege with a team 8-6, and currently tied for 12th place in the league. We are in the worst division. We are now playing our vets in lieu of developing our future. We are not exactly beating many a great team.

Sure its nice, but there is not cause to jump up and down and make deep playoff plans either.

You should not be so concerned about riding posts and be more concerned with the quality of your own posts. You have good ideas at times, why not just contribute than being a "Snit"?

People bring back threads when he's right. What's wrong with bringing back his crazy pessimism too? I agree that Briggs is a smart poster when he's not making predictions

Who cares?

I think bringing back threads is ridiculous in genrela. I did not like it when they brought back the Magic prediction post either. Everybody says so many things on the forum, you start brining stuff back, everybody's got 10 different predictions on everthing.

BRIGGS is a stubborn old man, he has his opinion, nothing can change except when he changes his mind himself, brining this thread back is a waste of everybody forum vewing time.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
