I fear Dolan more than I did Mills.

Mills was terrible at his job.

certainly inclined to agree but Nalod is not wrong and if this means Dolan is somehow pulling the strings its not good. We will know soon enough.

I hate Dolan as much as the next guy... but he's bound to pull the right string eventually. If i don't have faith in that belief as a Knicks fan then i have nothing.

same page here. Prayer is he follows the Rangers model, good competent people run the place and he stays away

I can't argue that. LOL!! For the record, Im never advocated for Mills, I advocate for normalcy.
I'll give dolan credit that he don't mind paying people when things need fixing. Whats interesting is the Blatt hire just a few weeks ago. He is just a consultant and he's buds with Mills but does he stick?
That dolan allowed the hire is now more interesting.

If Dolan want's Masai Ujiri, just offer him part ownership? How is Toronto going to stop him?

I'd make the same offer to San Antonio- allow 3 years to vest with a certain % of ownership transferred at that time.

Isn't Pat Riley part owner of the Heat? Or at least he did have part.

And Dolan could instantly end the Sell the Team Chants by bringing in a top name/bball mind like Ujiri.

Ujiri is under contract for this year and next. His contract expires following the 2020-21 season. That is why it must be a trade.

typically owners let coaches/managers out of contracts if they are taking a new, bigger role/job.

I think part owner qualifies.

Now - you could certainly give him a role at the head of MSG- that is a far bigger role.

Again, I have no legal insight - just what I have seen/read in the press in the past.

The idea of Mills negotiating deals at the deadline is horrifying. Perry was brought in with the idea that it would never happen again.

Eh, he's probably an injury replacement for the Rising Stars Challenge.

Austin Brown..hmm, im sure a lot of folks dont know who he , neither did I, but here is a little bit on him

The start of the new NBA season is a hectic time for CAA Co-Head of Basketball AUSTIN BROWN. Between flying around the country to meet with clients like Nets G D'ANGELO RUSSELL or Jazz G DONOVAN MITCHELL and making recruiting calls to determine which top college prospects to pursue for representation in the upcoming NBA Draft, a free moment is hard to come by. When he is home in Chicago and not weary from traveling, Brown savors the quiet time that comes with his early-morning workout before the inevitable grind of the work day to come. Brown recently spoke with THE DAILY to recount the many hours of basketball he watches during the season and offer insight into the day-to-day life of an NBA player agent.

Yeah, it's like he said "You know, Mills was a mistake. Maybe I can find a replacement from the guys who suggested the Bargnani trade!"

Basically All the players he reps (jackson jr, Donovan Mitchell, etc) are on rookie deals and won’t be unrestricted free agents for 8 years

Mills out!! Could be an interesting trade deadline?
