![]() How many guys have the one on one ability to affect the most dangerous one on one player in the league?
The kids instincts are very good and he’s starting to hit and take the open jumpers that are given to him. He’s taken some **** from the fans and gotten hammered in the media and has shown poise, which is highly underrated. Few can handle it, his teammates like him. There is chemistry here which in many cases is more important than individual talent. |

Other then that he had no fear guarding Kyrie, that was impressive. The ice in his veins knocking down clutch momentum changing 3s from range. I wanna see him work on his pull up jumper off the pick. I feel that needs to be his go to which will open up everything else for him. Due to his SG size and 7ft wing span. Thats a shot that he can become deadly with over PGs. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

I do like Young's shot form from distance...shoots on the way up. Not the same form as Curry, but same concept. EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Feeling real good about Frank and the way he handled himself with Kyrie. Kyrie can get in your head. He toyed with DSJ during their meeting and took him out the game. Frank met Kyrie head-on and kept his composure. It's those intangibles that scouts are referring too when they talk about his potential. As for his speed, that steal and dunk is a good example of how much ground Frank can cover in a short amount of time. It didn't look like he was moving fast, but he had no problem moving past Boston defenders. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

![]() Trae Young has been really good but lets not forget so was J. Fredette & T. Landon.
I wasn't happy for the pick at first but, as the team currently constructed, Frank is exactly what we need on this team |

![]() Posted in the other thread as well, but this is what Frank and Ron are doing together
When Baker and Ntilikina are both on the court, New York ranks in the 96th percentile in defensive rating, the 97th percentile in defensive eFG%, and the 98th percentage in defensive turnover percentage. I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only try to make them think - Socrates

They've been Super Impressive on D. Just all over the place and getting up on guys. NYK Fans may start to really appreciate what they do on that end with how they've developed so far this season. Baker showed toughness last year and now he's back to being that guy again. Frank looks like he's catching up to the NBA speed and he's gaining more and more confidence. |

Given the weak state of his positional value around the college game and his current play, he's pushing himself in to the Tier 3 of the first round conversation now, but that's not guaranteed to be sustainable. Ntlikina actually fits a real NBA role better than Young, now and in the future. Young is the kind of player where his offense needs to carry his value, and his offense as it will likely translate to the next level is going to raise some serious concerns. Young has possibly a better offensive profile right now than Ntilikina but that's all sort of meaningless once you are slotted as someone who is unlikely to be able to consistently create their own shot. Too many tradeoffs and workarounds to make this guy seem like a real NBA fit. |

Baker was defending Kyrie mostly. also when we played OKC Frank didnt cover Westbrook. I don't understand why mr all world defense isn't covering these top offensive guys??? fishmike

Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years.
First Leon move I hate

Baker is four years older and stronger than Frank, so he got the defensive assignment. But when Frank did guard Kyrie, he did a pretty decent job. In 2 years, Frank is going to be in the top-5 defensive point guards in the league and if his offense keeps developing, he is going to a stud for us. Knicks need to build this team in the Detroit model, just five solid starters that play great defense and run crisp offense. Trust the Process

How many rookies walk into an NBA team and become the primary offensive option from Day 1 and give you massive burn that is NOT a function of volume or a poor talent team situation? Young is killing competition that is vastly inferior to what he will see constantly at the NBA level. There is no way he's going to be drafted above Doncic/Porter/Ayton/Bamba/etc. He is pushing his way up to Tier 3, which will probably be in the 9-12 range, if he stays this hot for the rest of his college career. Which is a nice leap for a guy who was most likely going in the mid to late 20s otherwise. He's a fun player to watch. But he lacks the length and athleticism to bank on him being able to translate his full college game into the NBA. Briggs, you seem to fall in love with no defense gunners without any context as to why their game might not translate to an actual NBA role/rotation. There's more to the game than just some relentless chuckers. Ntilikina has the raw tool set and shows the potential to be a solid 3 And D guy. Three point shooting is a skill set proved that can be developed over time and hard work. Making a guy without length and real NBA athleticism like Young into fixing those thing is not something you can develop. You can always find a no defense gunner who has questionable fit at the NBA level. But a guy who can actually defend the wing and give you true "positionless basketball" potential is actually quite valuable. You are just the kind of guy who likes big tits ( re: counting stats that don't always translates to long term winning). She's got herpes? Who cares, she's got big tits. She's got bad credit? Who cares, she's got big tits. She's got four kids from four different baby daddies? Who care, she's got big tits. She doesn't bath? Who cares, she's got big tits. Yes, yes, you love your funbags. But the game is more than just raw inefficient counting stats. |
