I don't. All he did was more "psychological tricks", to destroy guys confidence (ie : he was said to be awful on BJ armstrong).

Or when he did his best to destroy labraford smith career (can't rememember the spelling), cause that rookie had scored 30 pts on him in a game.

oh, did I mentionned the fact that he singlehandly excluded Isiah from dream team 1 ?

Aren't you sick and fed up reading all this stories about DUI, guns, shootings in nightclub, punchings... ? Somethimes I just feel that we're giving too much money and power to guys that are don't wise (to avoid saying smart) enough to handle it.
everyday brings a new breaking news of a fight, assault... and those guys are sometimes praised like gods, only cause they can dunk and gives money to charity.

just plain sad.

raven, i agree w/you completely...it disgusts me to read about all these guys making millions to do something they love & to hear about them getting into fights, trouble w/the law, beating their wives, etc...but you have to remember where alot of these guys came from & how they were brought up to this point, as well as the fact that we are dealing w/HUGE, & i mean HUUUUUUUGE ego's here...

once these guys make it bigtime, some of them forget how hard they worked to get there & what it was to be a nameless scrub on the court...& others never even know what it meant to be a nameless guy on the court because they've never had to deal w/that in their lives for the most part...they've been treated like stars from their grade school days because of their athletic ability & prowess on the court...so they can't deal w/embarassment or being shown their own shortcomings, because to alot of them, they don't have any...at least, in their own minds they don't...they all think they're invincible.

RIght on!

Makes you apprciate H20 for some of the things he does. there are alot of good guys in the League, but some real a-holes also.

The crime count seems to be down this year. I guess the olympics kept some busy, lessons from kobe and Jayson Williams are also in the minds of many.

Remember when Marbs got his Ice lifted while riding in his bentley a few years back? I think some guy stoped him at a light and "asked" him for his 150k of ice he was sporting that night.

Marbs did nothing wrong of course, but these guys are targets and must be careful too. Players must accept the responsablities that come with wealth and fame.

a journalist said once that team should be able to terminate contracts if a player's attitude was too detrimental to the team or the club. I totally agree on that. You get paid a lot, you have to assume that and do your work, which also include to avoid legal troubles as much as possible.

I remember a couple of MJ incidents - one where he punched out Steve Kerr in practice. Another where he punched out some white stiff center who picked him off during practice. MJ exploded at the guy, something like "You don't pick for anyone in a game, you're gonna pick me now?!" Anyone remember who that was? It wasn't Longley - someone even worse!

During the playoffs, after KG was voted MVP, some reporter was in the locker room with him, and the reporter mentioned (in context i presume) how honored he was sitted here next to the MVP. Garnett's reply was "If someone comes in here with a gun and shoots us both, we're both dead men, no difference"

Doesnt sound like a Prima Donna to me. Maybe this guy was trashtalking. That would be grounds for an arsewhupping. Aint no rookie that can trashtalk the League MVP and not get hit in the mouth for it

Why can't the league MVP just outplay the guy. Trash talking don't mean nothing if you ain't gettin beat. There is not a word about trash talking in any of the reports - but even if there was SO WHAT. IF the man is getting beat the mans getting beat take it like a man. Thats a joke to have to punch someone in a pickup game. I"ve always though Garnett was great but maybe he loses for a reason...

KG is human. He is no better or no worse than anyone else. He shouldn't be held to any higher standard than anyone.

All the holier-than-thou talk needs to stop. The cat has an ego, and egos can lead folks to do irrational things. Those who usually nitpick about others often have worse issues themselves.

So KG snuffed a rook who briused his ego. So the hell what?
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Go and ask the rook's teeth. They'll tell you more about that.

if that rook had punched KG for embarassing him on the court, you think there would be a team out there that would even want to bother w/that guy from that point on? i think not...KG is held to another standard because he's simply a better player & makes a ton more money than most other players in the league...usually, when you're better than everyone else, people tend to hold you to another standard...if you can't deal w/that, you shouldn't be playing pro sports.

that's the first i'm hearing of either case...but if it happened, MJ is no better than KG in this case...star players don't have the right to punch someone in the face just because they got embarassed on the court...if there's a personal beef between the 2 players, then so be it...they can settle it like men if they so choose...but for a guy like KG to punch out a rookie trying to make the team in practice just because he made him look bad, is ridiculous & there's no defending it...KG was wrong any way you look at it.

Holier than thou? KG stands in the spotlight on his own accord.

This crap does not suprise me because these guys are babied for years and feel they are above. Great people and great ballplayers are two things. Nobody says he has to be anything but a great ball player, but don't shove his commercials in my face and ask me to buy somthing if the guy is a jerk.

The Biytch diva has a middle school hissy fit. Rickert is taking it like a man, but KG should at least throw him some dental money and embrace his intensity than worry about looking bad.

Nobody likes the white "soft" kids that can shoot. Makes them look bad. But that shooting thing is not such a bad thing. KG is emotioinally "soft"!

You're right he is only human - but I wouldn't expect or respect that behavior from anyone.

What can you say to this. Just another gen x punk who thinks he is all that and can do whatever he wants. He is always giving Wally crap too.
I wish he would have gone to Greece and gotten his butt kicked with the rest of them and learned some humility. McHale should suspend him when the season starts but we know that won't happen. The guy should sue his butt.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.
