If this is a promotion why are we compensating the Kings?
he's still under contract with them. Technically they can say you cant talk to the Knicks. However it ensures no talent ever comes works for you again.

I don't know much about Perry but I did think the Kings had a great draft and with free agency. I like that he was a part of the most recent Detroit championship - that team is the rare team to win one without a consensus top 3 (or so) player

They drafted Fox who was a no brainer. Then they traded down and gave up the chance to take Monk, Donovon Mitchell or Zach Collins so that they could take Justin Jackson and Harry Giles. This might not have been the greatest move ever. And we had to give up a 2nd round draft pick to sign a guy who was fired by Orlando just 3 short months ago. How was Orlando doing before he was let go?

Not happy about that second rounder for a non-player. Should have just kept it in house.

I happen to agree with you. This is a bad deal if Melo stays disastrous actually.

I don't understand some guys. Don't take nothing for Melo. Especially, don't get stuck with Anderson's 3 year contract for Melo. It should be a deal, not a dump.

There is a solution that makes it possible to meet both needs, cut him loser or tell him to stay home. With Phil gone the latter won't happen, the squirmy bastards don't have the balls to pull it off. That leaves buying him out or plain letting him walk with full pay. While having Ryan A for three years is bad, I am not entirely sure it's worse.

I understand waiting it out and getting a better return. Just don't get caught with Melo's return to the Knicks and setting the franchise back another year or two.

Sounds very promising. Rebuilding the right way. Young athletic talent. Build thru the draft. Mills is letting Perry run the basketball side of it. Give Perry 2 yrs and I think we are going to be happy with the results. At least Perry has all his draft picks which hurt Phil quite a bit. At this point Mills and Dolan are all saying the right things. Time will tell.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate
