Walsh should have had a better plan, period. To clear (give away) all the assets he did, hoping to win the Lebron sweepstakes, and then not fall on his sword for the Amar'e signing showed no forethought. There are 29 other franchises in the league. There must be some ass't GM with vision whose ready to take the next step.

This is so true. Once again the Knicks failed miserably.

This is not me bashing the Knicks and saying they failed. This is more ao me praising the Spurs for building something nobody else will be able to do.

The Knicks have failed on many levels though. Not for not being the Spurs though.

Any team can build a team right.

Step #1, when you own the team and don't know anything about basketball you don't cut the balls off your president and GM who is instilling a team system to make room for a fat, lazy, no defense, me first, aging super star.

You don't make these types of moves then throw your hands in the air in defeat saying we'll never be the Spurs.

We're engaging in a self fulfilling prophecy by doing this sh-t.

Phil messed up by not rebuilding immediately. Would have bought him time. Ppl would attack his win loss record as much if he was adding assets and drafting. He tried to get back to that, but I guess it was to late. At least he kept the picks rather then going full blown win now.

We are at the half full stage of our rebuild. We stopped bleeding draft picks and had a decent draft. Phil is gone, and now we are left to complete his vision. Most pressing is a solution to the Anthony situation. He must not be bought out. It sends the wrong message to the team, and any players who might come to the team later. The KP situation needs to be addressed. He must come back to the fold. If not, he can bring future assets and must be dealt with in that manner. Jeff Hornachek must be allowed to run the team as he see fit. We'll then know if it is the direction to continue in. Go Knicks.
