not sure how many years the extension was for but if you want him, fork over unprotected 2018 and swap in 19. ujiri is as good as it gets.

We've been 🔥 too many times to go raw with draft picks. Nothing unprotected, swap in 18 or 19.

We will need to give up a draft pick or some compensation.
No way I'd give up a pick to get him.
There's free agents like Griffin available without having to give up draft picks.

The Raptors have made move after move and what's the end result?
They're not even close to being on the level of Cleveland or Boston and they may lose two high investments this summer in Lowry and Ibaka for nothing.

He made that big Ibaka trade, and what?

Sorry. I prefer Griffin. But I know Dolan liked this guy for a while. He was suppsoed to be Phil's replacement this year if Phil went to LA which Phil didn't do.

Griffin is a lot like Jerry Krause. All his deals look brilliant as long as #23 is playing.

If he's under contract, you need to ask permission to speak. If it's a greater role, or money, I think teams usually allow the exec out.

We sadly missed out on Jerry West.

Jerry West is like 80 years old and probably doesn't have the desire or energy to run the show. Being a consultant is his proper lane and we need more than that.

He helped in GS and I think went to LA because he was still looking to contribute and have greater say.

He is who we should have picked instead of Phil.

But, yes, I agree we need someone with a lot more energy to try to turn things around.

Ujiri would cost the team a draft pick. If this is the path, it will show that the dysfunction continues. I'm hoping that a disciple of the Spurs or GSW franchise is brought in to show the way.

I don't see him building a contender through the draft. Don't know if Gaines is going to stick around. FA wise he goes after WS48. We really need JH take his coaching to another level.

he will change the entire culture of the franchise and make it a respected organization. but i don't see how he would want to work for the disfunction that is dolan.

That all depends on if the media likes him or not. This ain't Denver or Toronto.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

The one thing we should take away from the Jackson era is that picks are valuable. If we can't find an exec to go into the next year, then Mills will have to do. Despite everything, we had a good draft and maybe are building a good foundation. NO PICKS,NO SWAP. There has got to be someone worth taking a chance on, without giving up the future.

I don't get the Ujiri love at all

Very spotty draft record
his biggest success was dumping bargs on us
and us being too stupid to take Lowry when he was available.

FA signings likewise spotty
