Not dealing with the boss Ain't cool and neither were his brothers comments to management... "despite how management treats its players"...Thus rather than let a 21 year old dictate, get your picks and either KP wakes up or he and Melo can pack and we will get plenty for KP and upgrade our # 8. Fox and Tatum sound good along with Billy. I like KP a lot but you don't push your boss around in the press and he's been disrespectful to the franchise.
Ive seen more adolescent behavior from mgmt this season than from the 21 year old.
Willy liked Melo's tweet. I smell a malcontent. Move him or he gets with the program. No way you can bring in Josh Jackson despite his tremendous talent. He is passionate and wants to win and might speak up about f'd up stuff that isn't a part of winning. Probably a lot more of his kind in the draft. Stay away from talent. Guys that are desperate to be in the league and will comply to any ish you throw at them is the way to go.
OK LET'S CUT THE BS!!! Phil, Jeff and the Staff TELL the players what to do and not the other way around! All they asked is for the players to Give Max Effort and Execute what they were coached to do. This isn't a Democracy. It's a team with a Head Coach and he tells the F'n players what to do. The Players should bust their asses trying to get it done.So what is the big crime that Phil and Jeff committed that these Vets rebelled against? BALL AND PLAYER MOVEMENT!!! GTFOH! I'm so tired of this BS. Phil is not the damn problem! Look no further than the players on the court that didn't run back on D or pass the damned ball or cut with real purpose! These players are paid MILLIONS to play and all they have to do is GIVE A DAMN. JESUS!
Phil had every right to be pissed at Melo for his lack of loyalty. Phil gave him everything he wanted in his contract and Melo gave his word he'd BUY IN. Phil didn't say a word at that Team Meeting early in the season and Melo was all happy about that in the press but Phil i'm sure felt betrayed. Melo's power play is NOT what this team needed.
Bingo!
Therein lies the rub. Our best or highest paid players played laxidasical defense, threw soft passes, and chucked shot. They also often took contested shots when other teammates were wide, wide open. They were not leading by example, and they hated getting called out on it.
Listen, if Melo and Rose set good examples of play and our record still sucked, fans would be feeling very differently and more heartedly questioning Phil, the system, and the direction of the team
But when the plan sounds good, has worked in the past, and the players are loafing for all to see, they deserve blame from the team and the fans. This is why Melo gets such a reaction. If he were KG where you you felt he's still giving you everthing he had (not taking plays off) people would have a much different perception of the system
