There is nothing that can help Knicks to win in next 2 year unless Melo will move on.

Can you explain why they haven't won the last 14 times he hasn't played? Are you looking at the value they would get if he waived his ntc clause? If so can you explain why he would waive his ntc?

Had to quote this one to catch you in your nonsense. The last 14 games goes back to BEFORE Porzingis was drafted. Melo missed 10 games last year and 1 this year for a total of 11.

Look this team is what it is. Very raw. Very new. Team still needing pieces (Center, 3pt shooter, bench scorer). Has a hall of fame 30 something post up scorer that is trying to fit in. An excellent second year player that still has a lot to learn. A super fast PG that is trying to get his game back and has shown great signs. And a couple of guys that are trying to find a place in the NBA. Nothing more, nothing less. So please let me know in advance if your one of the tight short wearing old men that want Bball to be full of guys doing chest passes or a kid under the age of 14 who thinks every player should be like LBJ, every team like the MJ Bulls and if not, they will whine like a 2 year old girl. Will save me the ignore hunt. All other non playing unrealistic trolls should just start watching the Warriors. Smmfh!

0-11 when he doesn't step on the court. 0-14 when he plays but is kicked out or hurt. The team doesn't win when he doesn't play. Not nonsense. You were right but your approach sucks.

Melo is a great 1 on 1 player maybe one of the best in the history of the game but he is an ill fit in a team sense. No matter where you put him his a huge liability defensively. This thread is more about blowing up the entire roster outside of a few players. I've seen enough, Im sick of hearing about the learning curve this team is getting worse. Its a very lazy team that displays almost zero effort defensively. Thats not all on Melo either Kristaps is a very lazy defender as well. The difference is Kristaps salary makes him a fantastic piece to have Melo at 25 million not so much. I dont see a way of moving forward without getting assets back for some of these players. Its to bad we are stuck with Noah because that 18 million would of come in very handy to improve the team except we are stuck with a sloth for three more years. Is it worth giving up a first to get rid of Noah? If they hope to get better it may be the only way if your going to stick with this ill conceived roster. You have to get a real swing player in here.

Lance Stephenson is supposed to be ahead of schedule in his rehab and maybe back on the court as soon as mid January. If he is healthy and able to play he might be worth a look.

How does his skill set, even when healthy fit or compliment our deficiencies?

When you have an inefficient player making 25 mil, he certainly is a cause of your problems. He brings nothing on defense, and his offense actually hurts the ball club.

"Cause of your problems", I'm not sure what that really means? We don't have a viable off the bench 3, nor is our team defense very good right now.
I suppose I resigned to the reality he is here.

When 1/4 the total payroll is used on Melo, of course the team is going to have a lot of holes. At this point we can hope he'd be open to a trade but obviously we don't know.
