same

10 games is enough to change a mindset and instill passion? I have already seen plenty of moments where he's gotten the squad fired up. He also cheers like maniac on the bench talks a ton to the young guys.

briggs, noah should be arrested just like you said harrison barnes should be arrested for stealing the contract that the mavs gave him. his play looks pretty good to me. maybe you should wait for such proclamations instead of having a knee-jerk reaction every day.

I think Noah is good in small doses.

The problem to me is the lineup fit of Melo, KP, Noah - too slow along the frontline.

We saw the difference last night in putting Lee and Holiday out there at the 2 and 3 at the same time. The spacing improved on offense and the speed on defense.

It'll be matchup dependent and Noah shouldn't play more than 20 minutes unless he's going really good. Most of us accepted that coming into the season.

Bogut was a 20 minute a night center for the Warriors for the past seasons - but it worked. They miss him now.

Why couldnt Noah do that? There will be games he doesnt play a ton... 12-15 minutes. Other games he will play 30+ based on matchups and need. I thin when we signed him everyone knew he wasnt a 35mpg game anymore.

Absolutely - I said that in my post. I think he's a good teammate, good leader, can be a great defensive presence if used correctly.

JH is still learning about the team. Now he has another trick to try if the Knicks are getting killed by a small ball matchup.

+1
Imagine that. After a whooooooole 10 games the new coach with 10 new faces is still learning.

not saying they are, but Briggs was willing to dump major money on Crabbe. So I'm rasing those for some context and to tweak Briggster a bit

I actually have only minor complaints with Noah, beginning with simple things like what the F is with his FTs (he used to be quasi-respectable) and he needs some offensive moves (even alley-oops) when team ignores him

I actually like our team composition (would be happier with a healthy Lance or an alternative defensive wing) and think we just need to be patient to give the team and staff to settle in a bit.

Front Office gets an A or A- in my book at this point

Real Man of Genius!
Yes, please oh arbiter of all things econ0momical, define 'good' in NBA terms for us.
And please be sure to use Mike Conley's contract in your definition, please.

this is a great example of why i think we had a great off-season. I think we actually got great "value"; it just needs to gel

Wow, you guys are quick to throw people under the bus! Didn't this guy just grab 18 rebounds in the previous game?

I would still take Crabbe who is 7 years younger than 31 y/o Lee.

15 boards, 3 assists and 3 blocks in 25 minutes. Knicks go +11 during his 25 minutes on the floor. Also against a big physical team who's MO is pushing around the competition. We killed them on the boards and Noah was 100% the catalyst.

LOCK HIM UP

Briggs I hope you continue with these threads like you did last year with Lopez. Seems everytime you do the player you hate on has a great season. Keep it up!

Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy was even more succinct: “Noah’s effort dominated the game. I thought Noah was as big a factor for them winning the game as [Kristaps] Porzingis was.”

Considering Porzingis’ 35-point career night, that is saying something. Saying far more than the stat sheet ever could.

Briggs's magic touch. Wasn't it the case last year when he said Monroe is 100x Rolo that that was the inflection point for the opposite

some reverse jedi mind trick magic going on.

Briggs for the sake of the team please criticize some of our other players!

barnes has went on to have a great season and noah bounces back with a huge game. maybe we should just lock briggs away from the keyboard for his own good?

Noah will have his good games and his bad games. No need to overreact either way. Ultimately, he will stay in the 20-25 mpg range each game and Holiday, playing like he has, will still play more than him him off the bench except against a few teams where Noah is needed to play bigger minutes. Noah is still worth his contract (at least in this market) because of his leadership, rebounding, defense, toughness, and passing. That's a lot of great qualities. But he will still look out of place against some teams. He is still forcing KP and Melo to play out of their best positions, but sometimes it will be necessary. He should continue to start, at least for this year, and we will see about beyond that. No need to get too high or too low on him.

Im happy that Noah is starting to produce, but he still looks like he is having trouble getting up and down the court. The sooner we can find someone who is reliable enough to send Noah to the bench the better. Would love for him to be a solid, reliable bench player for the next 3 years.

He may just not be in game condition yet- missed most of last season and nearly all of preseason. He's been playing for only 3 weeks
