Our last spot should be a big. Brandon Bass, David Lee, Seraphin, Motiejunas, Christian Wood, a Phil surprise (Bynum or Boozer?) might be the best of what's left. I would love either Bass or Lee. Even Montiejunas would be good. Seraphin coming back wouldn't surprise me cause he knows triangle.

Not sure some of those guys would play for a minimum salary.

Is Mentiejunas a UFA and healthy?

I double checked and Motiejunas is a RFA meaning unobtainable for us.

I'm also still intrigued by Anthony Bennett. He'd be my 2nd choice behind Wood for an extra big.. Just reading an article saying there's mutual interest between the Nets and Bennett but maybe we can get involved here. The Nets might have more money to offer than the vet minimum but he may prefer to come and play here. Taking a shot on Bennett's youth and upside is a much better move than signing Drew Gooden imo.

Who does Bennett get playing time from? Melo? KP? Lance Thomas? Mindaugus kuzminskas?

That's likely true.

But why are you randomly selecting a comparison to gooden?

Who said the Knicks have any interest in him?

Maybe Lance Thomas or O'Quinn provided he was willing to accept a make-good contract and earned the PT. I've read we may be looking for a little more depth at the 4 -- if that's the case, instead of a washed up player like Drew Gooden I'd much rather ink a younger big with upside like Wood or Bennett. In any similar scenario where we might be looking for more depth at any position, I'll always choose the younger guy with upside but that's me. Now there's a chance Bennett may be looking for more playing time than we could initially provide, I'd have to concede that, and we also may not be able to match a contract the Nets could offer him (I think they still may have considerable cap room available after losing out on Crabbe and Tyler Johnson). But I say let's find out--I remember reading Bennett's agent (or was it his trainer?) imploring the Knicks to give him a look. Hey if the Nets are indecisive on this and we came along with a guaranteed contract, we might be able to get him. The man still has considerable talent and has supposedly slimed down and gotten himself in shape.

I'm not randomly selecting anything. Remember barking at me to use a simple Google search to find my answers? Try heeding your own advice there, guy.

For those who want Anthony Bennett should actually watch him and not rely on his credentials.

He was badly outplayed by Maurice Ndour during the olympic qualifying match here in manila.

Ndour looked healthy and has really long wingspan. He was very active on Defense but you can see he is still raw offensively.

Noah/Oquinn/Plumlee
KP6/Thomas/Hernangomez
Melo/Kuzminskas/Ndour
Lee/Holiday/Vujacic
Rose/Jennings/Baker or Randle

Not bad I can roll with this.

They are one of 4 teams to reportedly "express interest", a vague term that may have little meaning beyond due diligence.

I'd hardly advance that comparing all other options against Drew gooden.
