sell out? The dude wants to win so i have no issue. As a knick fan i would have loved him here but there was no chance in hell he would win here

Has to do with being a "man."

It's Durant saying that "I'm not good enough to beat you, so I'm going to join you."

Gutless, IMO.

not gutless. Lets be honest If he joined the knicks You would be praising him because its your team

Once more...he would not have been joining a team that made the finals two years in the row which should have won two in a row, and might have one this year without Durant.

Sorry...if you don't grasp this you are missing something the big picture.

no need to act pissy i simply gave an opinion. I have moved on from durant...im just focusing on the knicks

Pissy?

I've always liked Durant...now I have to dislike him.

Very sad day, and I actually feel bad for OKC, which seems to have done everything it can to make the team a winner.

I know that Starks and Ewing would not have gone to the Bulls in their primes.

Sitting around with bunch of guys on July 4th. Their reaction was basically the same , shakes of the head with comments like "seriously', "weak", "coward", "c'mon"

His choice but your take isnt pissy at all. Think his move is not admired from the stand point of a star taking the easy road rather than a harder path

This **** isn't fair.... a 70 win team just replaced it's worst starter (harrison) with an top 5 or 10 player.

Lebron set a dangerous precedent. KD only signed for 2 years? So hes basically just giving himself a 2 year window to win at least 1 ring and then he's out?
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

the okc gig played itself out and the writing was on the wall. it's hard to be a teammate of westbrook's in my opinion, as much as they cared for each other personally. durant's skills as a passer and playmaker were being a bit squandered, hard as that is to see. at least on the warriors he will be able to blossom as a passer and he will have a ton of open looks because of that style. i think his scoring will dip about 5-6 ppg and his assists will go up 1-2 per game.

durant probably didn't want to go to a team with another ball-dominating player like rose, thomas, chris paul. and the spurs were out because both forward slots are occupied.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

This. I think I have to dislike the Longhorns now as well.

that might be a good thing for us. Maybe he just wants to win 1 and then bolts before curry goes

Good! Now we have to put on the full court press on Westbrook since he's going to bounce for sure.

From Caseloads' thread on Durant.

This says it all...really.

A buddy of mine used to cover the Warriors part time (late 80s early 90s). He has a friend that still covers them some. He says the organization is fantastic (duh). If they are winning I think Durant stays. Where would he go if he left to move beyond this? Washington, OKC?

Makes Westbrook more of a possibility next year...no?

I have a feeling that Westbrook already told him that he wasn't fully set on coming back after next year for KD to make this choice.

Interesting thought.

Watch us trade KP & Rose for Westbrook.

Someone asked on twitter if Ayesha Curry still thinks the nba is rigged.

good point. Maybe washington because he is from there but if curry stays he will stay. The warriors did it the right way they built their team through drafting. Besides KP the knicks should have followed that blueprint

Funny thing about this...if Thompson was to have a season ending injury and GS won a title, it would actually help Durant's rep.

Expect Briggs to start a thread on this quite soon.

Good point. I gotta real hunch we will see Westbrook in the bright lights of NY.

Anyway we can trade for Westbrook by the deadline and not have to wait til the summer of 2017?

Rose and KP. Watch it happen.
