I think Sasha just got offered $40M/4yrs from Phil, but said he wants to test the market.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I'm assuming they have other targets in FA, the Draft and UDFA's as well. This will be a very telling summer as it's already started off with a huge BANG. I was curious to see how Grant and Wroten performed, but based on these moves my guess is that Horny was not impressed!!!

so here is what phil is thinking ....

I would rather have the $20m, Lopez, and Grant.

"I would rather have the $20m, Lopez, and Grant."

Yeah, me too. I like Lopez. I'd like to like Grant. I was looking forward to Wroten.

Maybe Rose fills seats at the garden? Hmmmm, no, that can't be it, the garden sells tickets no matter who is playing.

Rose is still a good baller, maybe worth max money, but unless he shows some maturity--that so far there has been no sign of in his career--and plays in a fashion that his body can support over the course of a season, and gets lucky and avoids further injury, and is willing to be second, maybe even third, fiddle, which, again, he has show little sign of . . . I'd rather have $20m, Lopez, Grant, and Wroten.

The one thing I suspect Rose can do for the Knicks is sell a few extra tickets. Maybe season ticket sales have dropped so far that Rose is a smart business move.

So we wasted 30 pages on our fantasy on Wroten last half year.

From Berman,
. Sources indicated Wroten’s knee was not healing fast enough.

No. This is life under a new Head Coach and he gets to ask for his kind of players. Phil is fully supporting JH in terms of how he builds the roster. Wroten was a low risk flyer and JH must not have wanted him. With the draft coming up JH may have identified some guards he preferred.

What's the ****ing point??? If he played in Summer League he still wasn't guaranteed to stick. It was a low risk signing. Now we have Hornacek and he is changing the decision making. We can all agree this is proper for JH to get to pick the players he wants.

you asked "why are we not getting excited over tony wroten"

you killed anyone who suggested that he probably won't work out

you can't see the irony of you keeping a thread alive for a guy that did not last until the draft?

How about ... I effed that one up, my bad ... next?

Its incredible how you can retract on a dime, I wish that we had guards who can do that

so here is what phil is thinking ....

This is the thing you want to make your stand on??? REALLY? How can I F up on a player with a partial guarantee? I liked his talent but we all know he needed development. I said this over and over. If JH decided not to spend any more time on him that's perfectly fine. The same with RoLo and Grant. If JH wanted to change direction that's his prerogative. Clearly JH feels he can do better and that's what he and Phil will have to do. All the draft workouts aren't just for the hell of it.

Trying to make some kind of point on this is pure BS! This is just more dumb ass posting to try and make yourselves feel better. You couldn't possibly have picked a less important subject to try and pick at. Move on people nothing to see here. Why don't you do an in depth post on the next moves this team should look to make. That would be a more constructive effort.

JH was clear. He wants shooters. Grant and wroten are not that. One can argue neither is rose

More BS from you? Your act is so tired. Try posting something of value to the forum. What do you or anyone gain with this argument you're making. Jesus man just let it go. As long as Wroten/Grant were on the team and being developed it was worth discussing. Once traded or released then it's time to move on.

JH is clearly having a huge impact on the direction of the team. Rather than spending time taking shots at people about players that are no longer here, why not discuss possible replacements? Isn't that the more important issue now?

all i can say is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

lol. no i can see both sides of the argument

- on one hand he was a low risk high reward talented young 22 yr old - no harm no foul

- on the other hand. i didnt expect much because i think his injury is a still BIG ISSUE

honestly, am i shocked? no. the only thing that shocked me was that he got cut BEFORE summer league actually started

its just funny that 30 PAGES to tony "dont-confuse-me-with-tiny-archibald" wroten.lol

oh well, i wish the kid luck. if brandon roy can bounce back then - o wait a sec

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Rose is a better shooter than Wroten or Grant.. .plus Rose gives the fans some buzz this season.....and 60 million options to find more shooters in 2017......to go with the 30 million options we still have for current shooters.

Phil is playing chess.....not checkers.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!

Aha. Was curious about this.

I wonder if they'll give him another look if his knee heals correctly.
