I understand the injury worries, but statistically, his numbers have been very consistent the past three seasons.
He's 28 - same age as Westbrook and Curry. He's played very very well against both those guys in the playoffs.
I don't think we should be too worried about a contract that would make him a Knick from age 28 to 32.
Even though Lowry is a better player, if you compare the contracts as a percentage of the cap, Conley is about a 16 million dollar a year play that you'd be paying 23 and would come with the risk of whatever his injuries are.
So you're looking at a 7 million dollar a year overpay, speaking very roughly. At that rate I'd kind of understand it if Conley was willing to move even though I'd rather save the money and take a shot at Westbrook next off-season.
