Big offseason for Phil to show he understands the importance of the perimeter weaknesses. It'll tell us a lot about him as an executive.

I wonder if this will allow us to trade O'Quinn as well.

I think they will explore it. I also think the Knicks should look at bringing in Bachynski.

Bachy has really made nice progress! I think he's gonna be ready to contribute next year.

We definitely don't need Willy, Bachy, O'Quinn, Seraphin, and Amundson do we? That's a whole lot of mehs and maybes.

Think you may have missed the point. Not all of those guys will be here next year. Seraphin and Amundson in particular are not likely to be brought back IMO.

You think that by what you see him doing in the d-league?? Every player can play good in the d-league. C.Early is a beast in the d-league but the NBA?? Not so much. J.Grant killed it in the summer league but the NBA?? Not so much. Same with Jimmer and Trice and.......... Now of course nobody knows what these guys will do in the NBA until we actually see it but until then these guys are playing there for a reason and if just one of 30 GM's thought they could do in the NBA what they're doing in the d-league or even close to it then they'd be in the NBA by now.

I think the real thing you look at with Bachynski, and it is mentioned above, is that he has made improvements, and for me, one the big changes is that he really seems to have worked on his athleticism.

Guy is no youngster-will be 27 before the next NBA season- and would only be a minor player on any NBA team, but he looks quicker, stronger, and less gawky than he once was.

Hopefully he, Trice, and Adkins can get some significant SL time, and maybe one of them impresses the brass.

How's Trice been doing? I liked the look of him in preseason, but I haven't kept up with how he's done in D league.

Yeah any time you can get a player off your d-league team to come in and produce for you it's always a plus but soooooo many that play great in the d-league have tried their hand in the NBA and just can't make the transition but it would be nice if Bachynski or any of them can come up and give us some solid minutes. I'm just about ready to trade Gallo in for one of them cause he's really been stinking it up for pretty much the whole year. He started off great for like 2 weeks and since then his shot has been awful.

Perhaps you are thinking that we're saying he's gonna be some good player but that's not what we're saying. He's gonna be a low minute reserve big and very few teams have quality 3rd string bigs. So I'm not under any assumptions that he's gonna turn into anything special! That's not what this is about.

Most D League guys you bring in with the hope they can be quality reserve players. I think it's possible for Bachy to be that if he keeps developing as he has.

He's had his moments-I have not watched the team that much after Jimmer came on board, and I think Trice's game was affected as Jimmer is more of a take charge guy.

His 3 pt shooting has not been up to par-33%.

I still would have liked to see him given a 10 day contract, but I assume the Knicks have a pretty good idea about his potential because they are watching him on a regular basis.

I watched last night's game and Trice looked great. He's getting quicker as the season goes on and is getting to the hoop and finishing much, much better than at the beginning of the year. He's taking contact and getting to the line frequently. He is resilient but frail looking so I worry if he can stand up to the contact. His vision and passing are first rate as is his ball handling. He is very quick and smart. Still makes some unnecessary turnovers but his ability to steal the ball (6 steals last night against a good team) and lead a team is excellent. His defense is harassing and tenacious and he does fight through screens but I think that he's susceptible to others posting up because of his frame. Yes, his 3 point shooting has fallen off a bit, but it was excellent at the beginning of the season so I think he has it in him. He is an excellent midrange shooter and has added a floater down the lane which is falling with precision. I really like him but just hope that his slight frame can hold up. I've seen Trice play a lot over the course of the season and this is the best he's ever looked as the team set a record for points scored this year. He reminds me of a poor man's Steph Curry.

Also, Bachynski is throwing his body around, shooting at a very high rate, making his foul shots, intimidating with his 7 ft 2 in height, and becoming a force on both ends. He plays a lot like Lopez, only taller with more shot blocking potential. He was diving all over the floor all night long and playing to win at all costs.

Early kind of stood around most of the night watching others and pointing to spots for others to stand without getting into the middle of the action until he took a hard foul that he didn't like. He then played with fire in his veins and starting dominating on both sides of the floor. He began playing hard defense, rebounding well running and dunking, and making his outside shots. We have to find a way to keep Cleo angry!

Jimmer is a very good player. He is playing within the system, playing hard, if not outstanding defense, unselfish ball, moving to spots and draining threes, making beautiful passes that are great to see. His shooting is out of this world and I wouldn't give up on him. Very smart!

Thanasis is coming back slowly from an illness but he was impressing me before he went down. His rebounding and activity level on defense are superb. Not just settling for outside shots, he is consistently driving to the basket and either finishing or getting fouled. His shot is much better and his three point shooting is also improving. I think that he can make the real Knicks and become a 3 and D factor for us. As you know, super athletic and super active! Hopefully he can help us sign his brother soon also.

good stuff, thanks so much.

I love that the Westchester Knicks are using the same system and are a farm team for the Knicks. We NEED for one of these players to become a hit for the Knicks (just a solid role player for them) and like the fact that we have so many guys that at least have some level of potential. I don't know why but I've never been enamored with Jimmer, I do like the prospects of Bachynski, Trice and to a much higher degree Thanasis. Just think Thanasis is the only one that has the body and athleticism over the other guys to make the NBA. He just needs to get that shot down and bring his awareness waaaayyyy up. I'm hopeful.

Love the idea that the Knicks have invested heavily there, especially by signing some of the guys to partial Knicks guarantees and then cutting them so that they play out the full year in Westchester. Also, they've obviously brought over a decent tutoring coach from the Spurs collection.

This is close to the time when he and Gaines did their scouting trip last year, too. Wonder if Gaines is with him?

Yeah we need some good GPS on Gaines to get a feel for what the Knicks are doing behind scenes. Can someone hack his phone?
