Well. I do for one.

What has CP3 won? When he wins something of meaning, wake me up.

Hard to quantify. Magic was great, but he had Two HOF in their prime with him. Isiah was the driving force of the Bad Boys.
Stockton had Malone, but no third star.

Im not taking anything away from Magic, but great PG's are greater when surrounded by great players!

Isiah is nowhere close to cp3. How can you say that? What was Isiah better at? Can't think of anything. I think that Stockton was better than Isiah.

Isiah NCAA champ Indiana 1981.
Two time NBA champion. Bad boys were two time champs, but look at the roster, he was easily their best player.
The man scored 25 pts in ONE QUARTER in a a finals game with a sprained ankle. I saw the game, it was amazing.

I don't like Isiah, but its hard to dispute his place in history.

The GOAT would have a better playoff record IMO. Magic/LeBron would go ahead of Paul, among others.

I guess D. Fisher is an HOFer?

CP3 is top 10. Oscar West Nash Clyde Peyton among others are forerunners. Magic is on top and CP3 couldn't guard him.

Didn't Joe Dumars guard Magic, so why is it out the realm of possibilities that Paul could not guard Magic and take advantage of him on the offensive end like other smaller points like Isiah did?

This was my vote too. AND he has rings. Think of CP3 as a Isiah Thomas (without the rings).

there is not a single thing that Isiah did better than CP3

Defense: Paul >>> Isiah

3P%: Paul = 36.6 - Isiah = 29.0
FT%: Paul = 86.4 - Isiah = 75.9
TS%: Paul = 57.8 - Isiah = 51.6 - WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

Assists: Paul = 9.9 - Isiah = 9.3
Turnovers: Paul = 2.4 - Isiah = 3.8
Steals: Paul = 2.3 - Isiah - 1.9
Rebounds: Paul = 4.4 - Isiah - 3.6

WS48 - Paul = .249 - Isiah = .109 - EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH

Who ever makes an Isiah argument should be ashamed.

Malone was great and although he did not win, he did at least get to a final or two.

DFish was not ever the best player on his team, so I dont understand the comparison.

The title of the thread is Best Point Guard of all time. I stand by initial "Hell No!"

He is good but he has not taken his team to the next level, like Magic, like Isiah, like Clyde. Each one of these guys willed their team to big wins in championship runs.

Magic is the best that I have seen. You cannot discount what Oscar Robertson was and many others too.

Chris Paul, stat wise may be better than most but STATS are not everything.

And yes, being a punk ass and punching opposing players in the groin coming around picks detracts from his "greatness" for me.

When did Magic or Clyde ever do that? Ever. HE has done it more than a few.

CP3 is the Fantasy Basketball Draft Kings Advanced Statistics Daryl Morey ALL NBA best PG of all time.

In the real world, he's just really good. And ring-less. Nowhere close to basketball Mt Rushmore status.

Also CP3 is the author of these gems:

Numbers aren't everything. Difficult to compare numbers from different eras. Did you even see Isiah play?? In the link that Nalod gave, Isiah was #3 all time, CP3 was 12th. Get off your pompous ass and realize there are other viewpoints that are correct besides your own.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

What does he learn? Last time Melo was on Olympic team he came out gang busters.

The only other thing I'd want Melo to do besides Olympics is accompany KP to a big man instructor week.

thanks for the mindless response. Yes I saw Isiah play and yes I get the era's. And yes I saw nalods orlando link to a terrible top 10 list.

And if you don't like my view point then ignore it or ignore it.
