Clean wrote:I actually would rather Melo stay. When I said I loved this new Melo in the past I was not kidding. I just wish his knee was more healthy. At the start of this season I knew he would not be fully healthy until next year anyway. This same thing happened to JR Smith after he had the same surgery. JR played the following year but he was not fully healthy until 2 years after the surgery.

good point..

But we could have jordan at 32 yrs old and some people would still be coming up with trade ideas talking about he's getting old.

Why on earth would you put a bunch of young talent around KP so he could end up like Okafor, wiggins, russell, kyrie, ect...

If we had Jordan at 32 we would not be in 12th place in our conference. So the fan base would have a much more optimistic attitude.

Yea seriously what a ridiculous statement. Plenty of reasons to knock Knick fans but this one makes no sense

Dude melo is plying exactly how we been wanting him to play his entire career, (for god sake he's leading the team in assist and he's a fwd) and I'm just a little sick of the melo trade talk. The guy says he's not going anywhere, and half of you are saying he's lying (in so many words)Like they spoke with his agent or LALA, HIS SON, OR MELO HIMSELF.

Then they come up with stupid ass trades for guys like Rose, KD or some other schmuck, like those guys have been the definition of "A clean bill of health"

Then we talk about draft picks, like like they want to see More Grants, more frank williams, more sweetnys, more Chandlers, like watching phili struggle isn't enough to convince them that having a young team isn't even an option.

I mean we got a Star player playing the best basketball of his career, who has had total impact on a player who's clearly the future of the franchise, and has committed himself to the franchise and the triangle.

So that makes me feel like it doesn't matter who we get. We have a solid team, that we have all witness can play at a high level, and only 25% of the posters on this board recognize that FISHER (and probably the triangle) was the main culprit derailing the train, and diminishing the skill level of many players on the roster.

I can put my life on it, that if you put that same exact GSW roster in this system, they would not have the record they have..WHY?? because most of them would be confused as ever, and hesitant just like grant, and some of our other players.

Fans talk about growing and building chemistry, and having a CORE, yet willing to trade anyone who gets injured or has a few bad games. IT's stupid dude and i just don't understand it.

We have had a young talented roster before (amare's first season) and we were barely cracking the 500 mark, we have had a old experience roster (54 wins)that broke down in the playoffs. But the bottom line is to have a mix of both liike San an, like the bulls, like the celtics, like whatever team that won a championship.

WTF mannn

Good points. It's funny how people want to trade Melo because of his knee or whatever health problems he has and then they make a trade scenario with us trading for D.Rose....hahahaha SMDH.

LaLa very well could shoot the Cleveland thing down right away. Good point. Very plausible. If I had to guess--I really think it'll wind up being something with the Clippers eventually. Everything seems to fit better with him going there -- we trade him out of the conference, he joins his buddy Paul on a good team (the 2 main things he's looking for), they may wish to move on from Griffin now after he punched out the employee, LaLa couldn't possibly complain about sunny Los Angeles..

You guys are finding everything you can to throw the blame at but the reality is that Melo wants to be here in New York playing for the Knicks so i'm not sure how anyone can get mad a star player actually wanting to be here. I'm hoping that his reasoning for wanting to stay is not only that he just loves being here but he has some info from another player or players that have maybe told him that he or they wanna play with him and KP with the Knicks. I'm either way on this though with trading him or him staying. I'd much rather he stayed and we get that 3rd player this off season to come play with us. I don't agree with everyone that says he's breaking down at all. I think he'll be just as good a player in 3 years that he is now. He was told by the doctor that he would have pain in his knee this year and that it's normal for that to happen and i think he'll be just fine next year.

TOTALLY AGREE! Of course if Melo felt he wanted to move on then I wouldn't be mad, but his wanting to stay is also a very endearing quality. Melo and KP are already in place and really we're looking for that guard who can make it all come together. That's not an impossible task even if it's been frustrating to deal with this season. Melo seems willing to wait and give Phil a chance to find the help the team needs. I have no problem with that.

Last two posters need to pump the brakes on your little act. Heard nothing but ra ra ra from you two every time Fisher's name came up this season, couldnt say a GD thing about Fisher without one of you chiming in, telling everyone how unfair we were to him. No one was unfair to Fisher, and no one in that exchange you two just chimed in on was being unfair to Melo. We were talking about possible scenarios, stop using them as opportunities to score cheap points. The Fisher fiasco was enough for this season.

I said people were being unfair with Fisher then and i still say it now. Anyone that put all the blame on Fisher which plenty of people were doing was wrong and being unfair. You don't like it then don't read it and don't reply but i stand by it now and i'll stand by it tomorrow. Was Fisher a part of the problem?? It's not hard to see that he was. Was Fisher the only problem?? Nope.

Dude, you are still showing affinity for Fisher? Give it up. This dude will forever be enshrined as THE worst coach in Knicks history. 17 will always be there as your reminder

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Nah, i'd rather just stick to reality which you have a problem doing. Carry on.
