Monroe.. I am not defending anyone, I am asking you to back up your statements. Knicks1969 wrote:Since you ask for research here it is: So you compared the total dollars of 2 players who have different length contracts. Why is that reasonable in any sense? Also, I'd like you to really think about the assertion that Monroe has more range with his jumper and how that actually relates to what is happening within games. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/lopezro01.html I am looking at these 2 pages which show both players and how often and how accurately they shoot at distances of 0-3, 3-10, 10-16, 16 to <3 and 3, and it sure looks like they are either even or Rolo has more range on shot attempts. I've always that that FT% is a good indicator if a player could develop a decent jumpshot. My gut tells me that Rolo has never been put into a position to shoot jumpers (playing next to Aldridge the past years) and never fully developed this aspect of his game, I think that will change after this season; he'll never be his brother but I think next year that jumpshop will be present. Also, Rolo has been known to be a MUCH better defender. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

Monroe.. So, forget about the real reason I proposed the trade, correct? You purposely omitted to mention MCW. If we didn't need a serviceable PG In the worst of way, I would have never proposed such a trade Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Monroe.. I'm not into patchwork trades that don't make sense long term. Jason Kidd just moved BOTH MCW and Monroe to the bench. I am not interested in either. Everyone recognizes that the Knicks' PG position is not good, most of us also realize that you should make crappy trades just to satisfy a short term need. So, what are your thoughts on Rolo v Monroe after my feedback? Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

Monroe.. I prefaced the thread by saying that I would much rather KEEP RoLo, but in order to better the roster he is the only asset we can move to rid ourselves of a guy like Jose; as well as, getting a serviceable piece. Since we don't want to move KP and Carmelo, the next thing is to try to move RoLo and Aflalo Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
