Good discussion folks, I like Conly, but not at 20 millions. He is only worth 12 millions in my opinion. However, I would pay Westbrook that kind of money.

Beverly belings to Houston I believe. We have an open roster spit. Hell if it was up to me I'd sign Greene and Murry and maybe Perry Jones too. Bye bye Sasha and Amundson. I know it'll never happen but they only hurt us anyway and have no future.

Just watched Perry Jones highlights and I don't think he stays in the d league for too long.

That dude will never get minutes under Fisher. The problem in my opinion is the 13 men rotation. Sasha has not blessed us with good plays for a while now. And Fisher moved the second unit from a fast uptempo bunch to a half court squad, which will not benefit a young guard like grant. The dude is at his best when we are in the open court, so are Early, Gallo and Williams

I don't want Westbrook here on a 5 or six year deal playing into his 30's.
His motor and athletic prowess are his biggest assets and I'd be suspect of its longevity.

Once can say the same thing about any other player.

OKC will ask itself the same question. The kid no doubt can play.

Knicks1969, who else do you want? The reality is the success of the team is predicated on something you can't see coming. The NBA is about acquiring undervalued assets. Its easy to pay full retail for them but you deplete the roster in the act unless the team is stock piling assets for trades.

Ideally I would much rather want to acquire a second tier PG who has been in the league for three plus years and has proven to be capable of penetrating, making a shot and defend. That is why I would have loved to have P Beverly

There is no doubt that the Knicks are desperate for a PG, but they aren't desperate enough to give away future assets willy-nilly. If a no-brainer deal comes up, then yes.

Seems like you are in panic mode even though the Knicks are outpacing any realistic goal, they are 8-7 while playing the 5th toughest schedule in the league.

This is a grow year, not a must-win year.
