One can only imagine the extra development time those 4 months will favor Okafor.
Has anyone actually watched ok4? He doesnt need developmental time and he plays with horrible teammates. If we swapped in KP for OK4 NO way could he do what Ok4 has done. I love KP--Im not trading him--but there is a reason why Ok4 went 3rd and hes proving it.
Different situation for a young player when nothing is being expected from a team. Does anyone feel that Stanley Johnson, Miles Turner, Russell, or Winslow would not be putting up different numbers than they are now if they were on this year's Philly team??? Same goes for Kaminsky...and you figure Hezonja would be putting up 20 shots a night for that team.
Not saying what KP would do in OK4's place...or what OK4 would be doing on the Knicks, but the team you're playing on and the expectations for that team make a big difference, IMO.
Got to have some perspective, Briggs. Sixers are under no obligation to win, and you figure that they guy in power would be fine with another top 3 lottery finish.
The age comment makes not sense, by the way...there is no official "schedule for development" that applies to all human beings in the exact same way. People mature at different rates- 4 months would not be a statistically significant number.
