How good do you think Porzingis will be?

Now that we have seen a few games, as if it wasn't clear before, we know sky is the limit. How good do you actually see him becoming? Less assume (and hope) he is a Knick his entire career.
Top 10-15 player in his prime (8+ all-star appearances, All-nba, possible all-nba defense multiple years)
Borderline Franchise Player (maybe 5 to 8 All-star appearances, top 30 player, possibly all-nba and all-defense a couple times)
All-Star (earns all-star bids on his best years, but under 5 times, has a few great years, but is productive all years)
Starter (inconsistency, media circus, coaching changes, and nagging injuries prevent him from being a star)
Out of the League (needed to put this, hopefully no one votes it)

It will always be natural for the average fan, and young fans especially, to disprove of a lesser-known player. International players tend to be that. Only hardcore fans with extensive basketball knowledge and ability to form their own opinion of a player they have not seen in live action based on scouting reports will possibly approve of this type of pick. Generally speaking, most in this forum will do their homework, but most fans in general won't put in the effort.

My fear is it will be "natural" to selfie your reaction to post on YouTube and/or watch yourself.

Actually, the truly scary part about this is the fact that if KP really does turn out to be a super solid player, these two will still make up a bunch of crap to justify their actions. They'll never admit they were wrong.

C'mon, that wasn't even a genuine moment. That was a made-for-YouTube/ESPN moment. Who know what they were really thinking at that moment other than to draw attention to themselves. They got what they wanted. Giving them more attention and extending their 15 mins will be giving them what they want and they'd say anything to get it.

The first time I saw him in a regular season game-it took five minutes until I called a close friend and former college BB starter to tell him turn on the game to see the next Nowitzki and my impression from the limited amount of time is that he has the "potential" to go beyond that. Even Carmelo seems to have learned how to pass-now if they can just find a backcourt to fit them-------.

The Knicks don't yet treat KP like a primary scoring threat. I think this has to change at some point. Once they start looking for more ways to get him great looks things should really heat up for KP. His confidence will increase and we'll really see what this kid can do. It's very exciting having a young stud in development.

yeah they need to give him more touches. He is pretty automatic from the mid range so they need to run more plays for KP

Unfortunately, for a lot of freaks out there, made-for-YouTube/ESPN moments ARE genuine moments to them. Scary, huh?

Went to see my brother-in-law in the hospital. He is very ill but recovering. I had not seen him in five years. Because of his illness he has trouble speaking and it is very hard to hear him. When I got to his room he took my hand and said, 'Porzingis', and smiled.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your brother in law. That's a touching story. I hope for the best for him and your family. Hope KP gives him more reasons to smile today.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but I have to. Was that really Danny Aiello?

I suspect not- I think it's Michael Rapaport (at least thats who it was accredited too when it first appeared on the net back in June).

Good luck to your brother-in-law

Hopefully a Knicks' recovery can help his in some little way.
