I'm not sure he will be a knick. Fisher said he was not going to get set camp invite because of the loaded positions .
Can we trade players we just signed.....I would trade any one of these guys....
Lance, Amundson, Ledo, Calderson, etc... for Ndour.
I would do lance for ndour in a heartbeat. Amundson was the only one of the two who should have had a shot coming back.
Pretty clear that Amundson and Lance were rewarded for being good citizens and learning the Triangle.
People have criticized Phil for "exposing" the behavior of JR, Shump, Sam, and to a lesser extent, THJ, and wonder if FAs will want to come here, but rewarding guys like Amundson and Thomas show folks that players will be rewarded if they put in an honest effort, even if they are not top of the line performers.
Both are also guys who learned the system and can impart that to new players. From the Rosen article:
Even so, Jackson is not overly enthusiastic about adding five or more new players to next season's rosters. What he'd rather do is bring in a few NBA veterans ASAP: "The idea is to have the rest of this season to get them indoctrinated, to get them comfortable in Fish's game plan. Something might come along during the trading deadline.
I think this is why Fisher coached SL, even though he seemed to introduce a variation of the Triangle, from what I've read. Not sure you want to recreate the wheel each year. Having to teach the system without guys on the court who can model it, would be a problem.
You now have a number of players on the team who know it...should make the transition for our new players a little easier.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
