That's a short list, at least.

I'm available for the rookie minimum!

The Suns went out and bought Tyson Chandler to play next to LMA and Suns are now second on his list.

It's WELL KNOWN that LMA doesn't want to play center.

Knicks could've secured Robin Lopez and then chased LMA if they really wanted a shot.

They had the cap room for both those guys before Afflalo.

What should we care about what the Suns are doing? We can't base what we can do on what other teams can do. We're not at the same stage as other teams. We just started the rebuild process this year. We can expect that we'd be in the same situation as teams that far down the road in comparison.

LMA doesn't want to come here that's fine. There are still other bigs that we can target. This isn't over.

We have to play other teams in order to win games.

I'm sorry but there is no way to spin this - Phil geared everything towards FA and struck out.

He hasn't struck out. We went in knowing we needed a SG and Bigs and we still have options on the board to fill those roles. There were other teams with better rosters we were competing with and Phil knew this and talked about that. There are no guarantees in Free Agency.

We have no bigs under contract. We have zero big men. The top tier ones won't even meet with us. The ones who meet with us won't sign with us.

This is a disaster. There is no way to say it is not.

Jordan hasn't made his final decision and from all we know R Lopez is interested. That's not a disaster. This is all part of the process. We didn't go into this with the best hand. We had money and still do. If we come out with a solid big man that is a good thing. There are also some good lower level bigs out there we can bring in. We also still have trade options. Let's see how it goes.

the Triangle offense to compete toward NBA championship should not be end all for Phil J/Derrick Fisher

This NBA isnt MJordan/Pippen and Shaq /Kobe established to be 100% triangle offense to develop Knick team

That may scare off few FAs as well...
It (triangle offense) aint important right now

The Triangle isn't really the issue. The Spurs use parts of the Triangle as did the Warriors. People just don't know what to look for so they don't perceive it watching those teams. It's just a motion and ball movement offense just like the other 2 teams run. It's just a convenient excuse used by some media guys who also don't know anything about the Triangle.

Seriously. Then a Robin Lopez makes much more sense. And I agree -- you do LMA/Robin Lopez signings first before you ever even consider talking to Afflalo.

How do you not even have any preliminary discussions with camp Aldridge (his agent, etc.) to find out if he'd be willing to play the 5? Had an entire sit-down with this guy cancelled because we didn't do our homework here. That's how this comes across....Beyond disappointing. Forget all about winning this year man. WOW..

I would understand this tactic if they had a 2016 first round pick. Heck, I'd be all on board.

I would be in the trade Melo and rebuild camp. I think I still am. But the lack of 2016 pick makes this process sting a lot more.

Especially because that 2016 pick was because of Bargnani. Denver is rebuilding, originally the 2016 pick was a swap with them from the Melo deal.

Anyway. It's a mess.

Yes it's definite;y a mess. But using cap space to get mediocre players or one way overpaid bigs like Monroe just makes a bad situation worse. We need to calm down and wait for real opportunities. You can't make "luck". Fortune favors the prepared, hold on to the cap space and let he young players play.

+1 - I didn't understand all the hoopla around Monroe. Feel like the fanbase will just take anything at this pt. On LMA, if the he didn't wanna play some center rumors are true, he is certainly looking for a money grab. The last 4 NBA champs have used 4 at center for large portions kf the game. NY and LA aren't of interest to him bc of money and medi which is respectable but spare uz the other excuses.

So if we sign a quality center, something the media is reporting we are trying to do, then he meets with us? Maybe him and Lopez are boys, dunno, but they did play on the same team. The odds are very low we sign Lopez and clear cap room for Aldridge. Phil is going to have to get creative to pull that off

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Phil's clearly been terrible but there's no reason to take blame away from Dolan. Everything begins and ends with including hiring a 70-year old with no prior GM experience.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Well their asst, stl, blks, rebounding numbers are very similar...You are talking about a .5 difference here and there..Aldridge is a scorer who is better in the post, commands a double team and can stretch the floor for you...Monroe rarely score outside the paint which gives him better efficiency numbers..Aldridge has been on better teams so you really wouldn't be fair to compare how the team has performed around these players..It might be a person preference thing but I think Aldridge is a much better player...

I don't understand the complaints. Phil had only Monroe as a Lock to be considered to sign. Outside of him all these other players the Knicks weren't really considered front runners to sign. Phil never guaranteed that he could get anyone on earth to sign no matter what. At this point he's still in the mix for Free Agents and hasn't been shut out. So really you guys need to relax on the dissing of the man and allow this to play out.

It's very funny to cross all the names out but that isn't the case yet so...

Can't wait for the:

Its not Phils fault that nobody came, who needs them anyway, we have Ricky Freakin Le-doo-dee

lol, you know it's coming, nothing is phils fault..clean slate and all, they will blaming on dolan, and melo

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Phil's clearly been terrible but there's no reason to take blame away from Dolan. Everything begins and ends with including hiring a 70-year old with no prior GM experience.

no doubt dolan is a cancer for the knicks. As much as i like phil as a coach he hasnt really clicked as a GM yet. Other than the hardaway trade his trades havent been good. So far he hasnt been too good at selling free agents to come here.
