Brilliant idea. I'd do that to save thr picks.
You guys don't think that they can do slightly better than Calderon for Pekovic?
Normally I would say this has no chance of happening but the wolves are almost maxed out, they have to still re-sign KG, and have a lot of depth at PF. I don't know if flip wants to sign another PF to around 7 a year. So I could see a trade happening where the knicks absorb Anthony Bennett's 5 million contract (that has a team option next year so its an expiring) and Bjelica's draft rights.
Minny is down for $56 M for next year, and that does not include Garnett, Towns, and Jones.
Bennett is at $5.8M, and Buddinger is at $5M, and both could be removed from your payroll next year.
My opinion is that I don't think Minny would want Calderon, and I don't think Jackson would want Pekovic.
If the Knicks really like Nemanja, and could work out a decent contract with him, I could see taking either Buddinger/Bennett as a pretty good idea.
Buddinger would be the more serviceable player, IMO.
