I didn't want Kris. I wanted WCS but Phil feels Kris was the BPA. I respect that and hope he's right. I loved Jerian Grant and was hoping we could get him somehow with a 2nd pick. I didn't know if he could do it but he found a way. IMO so far a great draft. Both players have significant talent. I can't knock what he's done. |

He is a big gamble.. U can't run an organization where every move is a big gamble..U end up winning 17 games...Phil has 11 rings and 60 mil in the bank..If it doesn't work out then hey... |

Phil is basically saying he believes they can get him to maximize his talent. Phil isn't saying much right now cuz he has to at least wait to see the kid in Summer League and camp but he has to believe the Kid can realize his potential. Risking that much you have to have a really big faith in the kid. |

![]() At one point I was saying I would rather just draft Jerian Grant at four than Frank Kaminsky. So I have to give Phil credit. He got a great guard for the Triangle and also a project with upside. I won't root against Porzingis - I hope he is very good here. I don't see it yet, but I am not a scout.
Overall, a solid draft so far. Hopefully we can get another pick and get Kevin Looney. ¿ △ ?

You do realize that the Knicks scouted this kid HARD. He's gotta have a very strong feeling that this kid is legit and will reach his potential. You can't foretell the future but I believe Phil is confident in the kids talent. |

Again, how is he any more of a risk than any other guy. Most of these guys don't pan out as expected year in and year out. You can't make a foundatuonal claim that this was a bad pick without even seeing the guy play or it just validates that your opinion is meaningless. |

That's fine but i'm saying that for tonight Phil did a great job!!! I don't care how you want to describe what he did tonight, but for me he did a great job so far with this draft. This isn't about FA or his entire body of work for this summer just for the DRAFT!!! Just based on what he did tonight it's a great job. |

![]() Every pick is risky. Do you trust in your basketball knowledge, or the guy that's won 11 championships? I guess the saying haters gonna hate comes to mind. Cause this night just went as good as I could've hoped. Got 2 guys who WANT to be Knicks, that does so much more for our team...getting rid of the losing energy. We got our 2 rooks, now let's go get some vets and some more young guys in free agency and finish up this squad.
