not at 4 though. Other than dirk and maybe yao ming euro players in the lottery dont pan out

Saying its a bad pick just because Porzingis is from another country isnt adding anything to the discussion.

um....that is not what im saying. I love the knicks more than most just being honest. They showed a list of lottery picked euro players who succeeded. It was a short list

Your reason for dismissing this pick is where Porzingis is from, not his game, his approach to the game, or the level of competition, so yes thats exactly what you're saying. And spare me how you love the Knicks more than most, many of us here were fans before you were even born.

i Think you are being a bit Harsh. Its been a tough day, my best friend passed away last night so i was hoping for some good knick news to help cheer me up

My condolences about your friend. My best friend passed away in December, so I know how you feel. I'm sorry.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's ****ty to be out of the top 3 but at least this guy averaged 18/8 per 36 in the 2nd best league in the world. I'm less pessimistic about him than before.

Im sorry you lost your friend StarksEwing. Sorry Phil didn't draft the player you wanted. If you had brought up anything but where the kid is from as your reason for not liking the pick, you wouldnt have gotten that reponse. Foreign players have been key members of almost every championship team going back to the Bulls. Times have changed. If One of the top 3 were available I would be down on the pick as well. After the top 3 went the way it did, it became much more of a crapshoot. Kid has a great attitude, wanted to be a Knick. big upside, lets see how it all shakes out.

Is Porzingis definitely coming here or does he have to get out of his contract in Europe?

still think you misinterpreted. I have watched the kid a lot. I have played basketball all my life and played with and against many people from foreign countries. So it had nothing to do with that. Ive said many times he is talented but im just being truthful. He is a project plus he needs to bulk up. Also i never said all foreign players are busts. I just meant in recent years in the lottery only dirk has made a huge impact. You just misinterpreted no biggie

I assume that it won't be an issue. Otherwise this would be the worst #4 pick in history. Can anyone confirm?

with this pick, this means one thing for Knicks fans: an even longer wait to greatness

but I am hopeful that we at least now have a projected route to get there. KrisP, best of luck this year - eat up and hit the iron!!
