Simple - who do you think the Knicks draft tonight.
Okafor falls to us, Phil does a rain dance in Central Park.
Russell falls to us, Phil does a rain dance on top of MSG.
draft Justice Winslow at 4
draft Kristaps Porzingis at 4
draft Emmanuel Mudiay at 4
draft Mario Hezonja at 4
draft Willie Cauley Stein at 4 (or maybe trade down)
trade down to select Trey Lyles
trade down to select Frank Kaminsky (or maybe take him at 4)
another trade we haven't heard about

certainly going to be interesting... i just cannot possibly see them going totally off the board with someone like kaminsky or lyles... and i think all the lyles talk was him going 8 for 10 in that arkansas game that jackson attended... kaminsky also has jackson ties through his parents... pretty sure it's just the media trolling the knick fanbase for attention...

if the stein workout and health rumors are true i'm pretty sure he's off the board at this point...

russell is definitely up there and will get picked if he's there.. pretty sure we all know this... i think the same can be said for okafor but not entirely positive...

porzingis looked a bit uncomfortable when someone asked him how his sitdown with phil and the triangle went... it seemed like that didn't go too well so i'm thinking he's out.. but possibly still in the mix...

that leaves mudiay and winslow... not much has been talked about with these guys and they were the first two to workout for the knicks... which leads me to believe they are picking between them...

I thought his lack of comfort had to do with the fact that someone seemed to be asking a question that an opponent might want to know about. They asked him to describe how Phil would use him in the triangle- not a general question about the triangle.

It was a strange moment though, and really stuck out in the interview for me.

Don't know what it meant, but I almost felt he took the question as if he was already a Knick.

Kind of like those idiot female announcers who waste a coach's time between periods asking them to describe,on national tv, the specific strategies they are going to use to defeat an opponent.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

A buddy at work is a Celtics fan who felt the need to point out we're opposite sides of the same coin. He's relaxed and confident Ainge will make the right moves tonight while I'm praying the Knicks point the gun away from their own feet.

Come on Phil, you're a Knick and a Laker- don't let the Celtics have the last laugh!

but i haven't been so uncomfortable with the potential names that are connected to the pick in my life...

agree with the second part so much.

porzingis, kaminsky, lyles... just all feel like disasters with this pick.

Yeah all of those guys reek of wasting the #4 pick. If Phil likes them then try to trade Hardaway for a mid pick and choose one of them.

Briggs, I think Boston has a lot higher hopes for trading pick 3. They must know Okafor has a chance to slip to 3.

Man, we really got screwed by getting the 4th pick in this draft.

Lol. I wonder how long Philly laughed before hanging up the phone. Do you think Hinkie put him on speaker and called other people in and asked Boston to repeat the offer?

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

So heading into the draft, Kristaps is who most guys here think the Knicks are taking he has 8 votes. Mudiay is second at 5 votes. And DraftExpress and nbadraft.net are saying Porzingis, too. Time will tell!

The 4th for Batum and the 9th to take Kaminsky might be in play.

Nah, we got this.

I said that in 2002 also when we traded Marcus Camby and the #7 for Antonio McKnee.

Yes, this is the Knicks. We're screwed.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

i think kristaps is a smoke screen. Even people who like him admit he is a project that will take 2-3 years if at all

Broussard saying Mudiay. It would make a lot of sense. Everything that's been done so far is a smokescreen in an attempt to get teams to give up more. Honestly feel like it's been Mudiay all along.

Surprised you didn't put Kelly Olynicks in there, the orignal Marc Gasol/Dirk Nowitski

IMO,
And that is a HORRIBLE TRADE BRIGGS for the NYK's, we should be able to at least dump Calderon, no future 2nd's from us, and add in Evan Turner *expiring* and/or any other player we want from their roster such as Jae Crowder *he likely will get an offer that we will not match anway but could also maybe get an asset if we acquire him in sign and trade*

Think we are short about, if we do not receive any players think we are about
and 2 more future 1st rounders, and future 2nd rounders as well, they have the assets to do so, to make it fair for the #4th pick
If Net's do resign Lopez and Thad Young, their pick isn't exactly low, probably TOP 10-16, depending on the health of Lopez *especially if he does not OPT OUT or does a 1 and 1 deal*
Lopez will beast if he decides to opt in or do a 1 and 1 deal with player option

Also Net's should have a better year with a full training camp with Thad Young vs KG, Joe Johnson in a contract year, and more experience from their young guys, and Lionell Hollins knows what to expect from this older squad with Deron Williams "no longer being a max player" motivating Deron and Hollins knowing his staff better, along with improvements from their younger core and Jarret Jack, even Mason Plumlee if he stays

contract year for Joe Johnson, Jack *team option*, Deron Williams *no longer MAX PLAYER COMMENTS, to sucker next contract , 2nd last year of max deal, and would need to prove something if he wants to continue to play in the NBA with the cap exploding for a backup role on a contender from under the MLE type money for next contract

Plumlee
Bogdanvic
Sergy
Markel Brown
Corey Jefferson

not sure if both Earl Clark and Mirza *if he does return he was a pretty good shooter before he got hurt last season, will return

Not the biggest fan of Marcus Smart and it seems like Celtics are not either as he has been thrown out there and could be an expiring next year that should at least net us 2 2nd rounders
Think they are happy with Isiah Thomas and Evan Turner at PG, maybe even some Avery Bradley...

Kind of selling the #4 pick short
We see things like picks 10 for picks 14/17 in recent years, by those standards we should be getting a hell lot more assets considering

And if WCS and Kaminski is not there at 16, bets would be off?
Or would you still do it if Bobby Portis or Miles Turner is there? Would you still draft Wood with 16? You had him TOP 10 even TOP 5 at one point a few months ago...

What about the international MosGoV, Arturas Gudaitis, and Christian Woods *told you I thought he was a 2nd rounder risk/reward type of talent*
I hope we could acquire Pat Connaughton for future practice/work ethic/locker room and leadership to push even veterans to work harder and play TOUGHER!

thought you liked, would you still do this deal if Kaminski, Portis, Turner are gone, leaving PG's availalbe and Decker at 16??

Jordan Mickey
Woods
Rakeem Christmas
JP Tokoto
Dakari Johnson
