And again......that's why you're on a message board and not a GM.

Thats ok but the Knicks would win that trade by five miles.

Again......in your mind they would win that trade.......IN YOUR MIND.

So let me see

A 19 year old 7-260 pound PF who will be unguardable on offense and will be a major building block for a superior defense for lets say Porzinigis Anthony and someone from the year 2018? We have NO chance zero none nada chance of winning a title in the next 3 years with Anthony none zero niet. This gives Anthony a chance to play with a better team and gives the Knicks perhaps the best player they will ever have.

He is unguardable in those videos where he is jacking up shots alone...NCAA players manage to hold him to 10 pts 6.7 rebs a game..

Towns is going to be the real deal. As we've discussed ad infinitum, every single player at Kentucky had their stats held down because that team had 10 guys on it who will probably make it to the NBA someday. Or would have if they went to a smaller school and were able to put up big stats.

I wonder what people would say if D'Angelo Russell went to Kentucky (they wanted him) and put up 10pts 5apt like Andrew Harrison did? You can't just put up stats in a vacuum on a loaded team like that. That's part of why Stein, Towns, Lyles, Harrison, etc, all get underrated, I think.

He doesn't have any polished low post moves...Let's see when he makes that NBA adjustments..He isn't a big time offensive player like OK4..But he needs to put in the work..It's funny that people get more worked up about him in videos than in game situations..

I am impressed with Towns but I agree with your point.
I think it's crazy how much weight people will give to one good workout with a team or to nice pre-draft measurements compared with what the player actually produced in one or even more years on the court in college.

yeah, I was impressed especially by the video displaying his half court shooting ability with no one on him. He's truly unguardable.
We're still trading Melo for him and winning by 10 miles though.

dkwtf7th? TripleThreat? C'mon boys, the thread's going stale.

I'm amazed at all of these threads offering up Melo, he of the no-trade contract. They smack of fantasy. Better to focus on what can be done with pick 4' and the hope of purchasing a late round pick or a second rounder or two.

If there is a deal--whatever that deal may be--what ever it took to get Minnesota to flip picks --I would do it. This is going to be the best player in the NBA. If they want us to absorb Rubios contract flip picks and whatever they want--Id do it.

What exact value to we have on this team past pick #4? Cap space--Ill give it up Anthony? hes 31 with bad knees a 2018 pick? whatever it is--I would do it. I think hes going to be that good.

Here is the point. In the last 30 years--there has been 0 ZERO players who looks like Karl Towns. I dont give a sht if a chair was guarding him. Im just looking at the skills+size of the player. If you cannot see the skill size athleticism package--then you are blind. You ask in NBA history now NBA history what player at 7- 260 has his combination skills he is showing off with the athleticsm power package?

Id give up pick #4 for Zach Lavine and 31 and 35. For Karl Towns Id give up pick 4 Carmelo Anthony take Rubio back and give up a 2018. And I would hesitate.

I never saw skills like this in his college year -did you or anyone else? No. Look how much his body has improved. Don Mclean says it in the video--Ive been doing this for 11 years and Ive never seen anyone like Karl Towns. Thats a UCLA superstar and 10 year NBA player saying that.

phucks sakes man can we see him play one NBA game before going into the HOF? Amare came into the league like that. I think everyone agrees KAT is a great prospect. He's 19... and doesnt even know how to shave yet. Your projections are loony man. Can we see him get some NBA rotation minutes before declaring him a hybrid of Kareem and the big O?

The one thing you can say about 1969's threads...they generate some funny responses.

As to the OP trade idea...wtf are you smokin, 1969, and where can I get some?

Amare?

That dude came into the league as a high flying dunker who could not shoot the ball nor defend

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
