If the Knicks can get BOTh Mudaiy and Mickey--Ill be happy with our draft. I just have no faith in the Knicks to do the right thing--zero. I like Kaminsky too but thats a pipe dream--well get 1 player up top. Im ok with Mudiay but if we do that--can we pick up Mickey with work below to pair off the athletes?

because nobody knows much about his so its easy to want him.

that is untrue... we might not know much about his individual skillset but I do know that he was the number one prospect for the incoming college class last year and Larry Brown said SMU would have won it all if he had played for him instead of went to China. I know Mudiay is no scrub

Larry Brown also said that he's never seen a point guard with more skills then Mudiay which coming from a man in L.Brown that's seen it all as a hall of fame NBA and College coach is pretty huge.

This is the same man who though Marbury & Stevie Francis could work. Just saying.

So you're saying you don't think Larry Brown knows talent?? LOL OK.

or ....

1. he knows talent but can often be wrong like every other human being
2. he does not know talent like briggs and dk who can judge player within a couple of minutes
3. he was a really good defensive coach

Lol@ 2
Brown isn't the only person out there that thinks Mudiay has great talents.

I'd rather find a way to get Rakeem Christmas along with whoever we pick at 4.

Yep, they don't know enough about the kid to give him a true evaluation so you just don't hear much about him and the other reason for him being projected 3 or lower is just because there's two legit big men coming out that both are seen as mostly can't miss prospects in one way or the other and teams just can't pass up on getting a legit center just like we were gonna take one of the two. We may have lost out on both the bigs but i don't see how anyone could be upset with any one of D.Russell, E.Mudiay, J.Winslow or my sleeper K.Porzingis.

I see Porzingis as a sleeper pick for the Knicks, too.

He obviously needs to get stronger, but his size and length will compensate a bit for his lack of strength. Has a nice touch from outside, and he can help out as a shot blocker and pick up some steals.

Does not seem to be a great passer at this point- I assume that would be an issue in the offense we run, but he is still young.

It will be interesting to see if he has bulked up at all when he comes to the U.S. to work out for teams.

Porzingis looks frail and somewhat awkward. I cant see where he handles the ball much or where he uses the pass.

I think Porzingis looks like a bust- he'll likely lose the athleticism if he puts on the weight he needs to.

Im over the "Fish messed up". You try to win games early and later. Its been a while since the worst team go the top seed. Shyt happens. Deal with the reality in front of you and thats what knicks do.

Isola doing his media get fans angry thing which is fine, but whats done is done. My take is Greg Monroe is plan b big man and we draft the next ball handler. THat could be either Russel, Muinday or Winslow.

WCS have any offensive game we have not seen? If so, he might be our pick.

Word on Street LAL really wants Towns and though I feel he should be #1 to Wolves , the wolves may pick Okafor causing changes by
teams Draft night June.

Okafor isnt a Center & Lakers are high on Randall at that spot. Okafor is more a 4 cause he not big defender /shot blocker

Knicks may have Okafor slide to #4 if Wolves mess up and take K.Anthony Towns concensus #1, despite Minny coach Flip Saunders wishes.
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/19/report-flip-saunders-really-likes-jahlil-okafor-wont-necessarily-take-karl-anthony-towns-no-1/

However dont be shocked ..is word on street if Lakers pass on Okafor (cause of Randall) and go for PG sensations D.Russell OR
E.Muddiay.

Word is though LaL like Clarkson PG there is no argument that Russell & Muddiay is BETTER.
Then brings #3 to 76ers whom will get at least 1 of 2 PG (Russell or Muddiay) 76ers are not picking a big.

Knicks #4 ?
Okafor ?
I Like Winslow problem is what to do with Winslow & Carmelo on floor ? whom is SF ? whom is PF ?
Mmmmm seems like same position spot as far as spacing.

You know NY Likes Winslow but may be pressured to take Okafor if unexplicably still around at #4 OR a PG if Okafor/Towns gone
and there is need for Russell Or Muddiay.

Knicks cant lose with either Winslow, Russell or Muddiay
But Okafor dropping to 5 ? I Cant see Knicks not picking him if he's around if Wolves takes Towns with #1 pick!
is word on street and radio chat/waves

teams don't care anymore who is at what position. Look at GS and Houston.

put players on the floor who can score and defend multiple positions.

Dray is 6 7' playing freakin center

so here is what phil is thinking ....

“He’s the most special point guard I’ve ever seen at that age,” NBA coaching legend Larry Brown said about Mudiay. “He plays the right way, and God has given him incredible gifts. We all know the NBA is a point guard’s league.”

S.Mills made a comment last night that has me thinking more than i already was that we'll be trading the pick for veteran help. When talking about what they will do with the pick he said "we're gonna do whatever we need to do to help us win next year" I put it in quotes but i'm not sure if those were his exact words but i do know that he said "winning next year" which are the key words. Winning next year means to me that they don't want a rookie and that they want veterans that can help right away.

They did not schedule a Mudaiy workout nor did they even scout him. It might be the right move to take Mudaiy to have him in for two private workouts but this is 12 years running where we have blown a pick. Did anyone read that article where in 10 years our tier one draft slots have played 430 games out of a possible 8000+?

The problem--Jim Dolan only cares about filling the seats and winning 40 games. This is NOT a championship type business plan. This is get me good content for my cable TV show and to fill my seats. Did anyone just pay for the Mayweather fight--same F deal. He doesnt care he just wants to give someone a little something o take the money out of their pockets. Our chance was last night and now we are really scred.

I expect the 4 pick and Calderon to go bye bye in one trade and were going to use full cap to the till.

You sure do say a lot of ridiculous things all the time. Dolan absolutely cares about winning and has always opened up his wallet as far as it can be opened to give his GM's whatever cash needed to get the players they can to try to win. The problem has always been what the GM's have spent all that money on. You speak as if the scouting process is over which is far from the truth cause there's over a month left to bring kids in for workouts and interviews so Mudiay will be coming in for a workout/interview. The one part i agree with you on is that i also think we'll be trading the pick for pieces that can help us right away and what scares me most with Phil and Mills is exactly that....trading. These guys have no experience in the art of the trade when you have to stay strong with these other GM's to get the absolute best trade you can out of them and that's exactly what he didn't do with the JR Smith trade. If he waited it out longer and closer to the trade deadline he would of got a better deal for JR and Shump but he didn't wait, he jumped on the first team that offered anything for him and for that didn't get much back for them.

NewYork--if Jim Dolan cared about winning we'd have a 30-40 something GM like Sam Presti or picked up Danny Ferry on the cheap. Instead we have a first time GM Jackson a retread who only lost his first time out Mills and of course the coup de grate the man with the vision I Thomas.

We have the ABSOLUTE worst basketball management in the NBAS and we PAID the most for it. So here it is--you have Jackson who if he is even in the decision making--Im not sure is trading away all of our players Tyson Chandler Iman Shumpert JR Smith and we got the worst player of the deal in Calderon with the longest contract and a pick 54 in 2020. Is Dolan really trying to win? Just because you spend money doesnt mean you will win--check our last 15 years. We have THE DUMBEST owner in sports history Marge Schott would laugh at Dolan.

So your argument on why Dolan doesn't want to win is because we don't have S.Presti or D.Ferry as our GM?? Hahahahaha where do you come up with this stuff?? Dolan has always done what he thought was best to help the Knicks win but that doesn't mean he made the best moves. He signed Phil with all that money because he thought Phil would be able to bring in the free agents just because of who he is and was as a head coach. You can make all the assumptions you want but you're dead wrong saying Dolan doesn't want to win and it's really pretty dumb to think any owner doesn't want his team to win.

I agree, Dolan takes more heat then he deserves. He always tried to bring in sharp people who seem to be perfect for the job, but once they get here, they seem to take he's blank checks and run wild.

Phil is proven more everyday that he doesn't know wtf he's doing, it seems like he digs a deeper hole every move he makes.

I have heard of building from the ground up, but he's in the fkng ocean right now.
