Someones crystal ball is f'ed up. No wonder you ain't hitting the lottery. Suns made the best moves by far last off season. They had an idea as to what the team is suppose to be and took full advantage of it. Their planning and patients was far superior than any team since the Nets and Spurs. I just gotta say this Isiah get your head out of your azz and make some moves that will make the Knicks truely better. How many people here would have liked Q-Rich rather than Crawford. I know I would. Oh yeah Stephon is not better than Nash that a fact he is a pure PG stephon is not. he is a sg caught in a PG body thats why he can't throw a decent lob pass to save his life and run a effective fast break.

so I guess using this logic, if Nash was on th knicks he would average more assists and we would have more wins too right? gimme a break. Nash is serious, and his style of play fits very well with the players they have, but lets not be ridiculous. Certain styles of play benefit some teams more than others. If you are running out in the west, have a talented athletic starting 5, and no one is playing much defense, yes I would say Nash is your man (although I think Steph could do well there as well), but if you are in the east, half-cort offense, on a team with limited talent, I'll take Steph because he brings more to the game, and i don't think Nash would do very well.

BTW I like the idea of bringin this thread back. It doesn't hurt to see what we were thinking when the trade was made and how we thought certain teams would be.

It is pretty lame to pull up old threads like this, but I will tell you, that you did nothing special by going against the knicks, since you were hating on anything the knicks did anyway, I even bet you said to yourself that the Hornets would be better than the knicks would too.. go ahead and admit it, I mean right now the suns are playing great ball, and that is largely due to Amare more so than nash, don't fool yourself, remember marbury led basically the same team to the playoffs in the west that had the shaq and kobe lakers also, and he did it with a younger amare, joe johnson and no Q richardson. The suns with this team are not built to win in the playoffs with this style of ball, pull this thread back up in another 20 games when nash wears down as usual, and those 500 3 point shots they shoot per game stop falling as the legs get tired....

This was lame man, just lame, I still think that the suns overpaid for nash, he couldn't lead the mavs who had more talent to a finals, what makes you think he is going to do it here, unless the suns paid 65 million to have a great regular season, and if they did that, then they overpaid, it's about winning rings, cuban knew this, and this is why he didn't overpay nash himself, he can have good regualar seasons with Harris and Terry running the point...

That was great, in the first paragraph you gave Marbury a total pass for not even winning a playoff series against the very tough western conference and then in the 2nd paragraph you criticize Nash for not making it past the very same competition to get to a finals. Good job being consistent and fair. Talk about lame.

Nash is a lot better then Marbury.

He is a winning player, period. Marbury never was and never will be a winner. Nash makes people on his team better. Its that simple. Marbury does not.

Heck, Marbury can't even run a fast break. He can't throw a lob pass. Half his passes are bullets that can't be cought. All he is good at is scoring.

Why is this even still a discussin. He is a SG in a PG's body. A poor man's version of AI w/out the heart.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

GOOD POST Islefan, we have chubby checkers here who are able to do the twist, they make things up to make them sound good.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

They basically traded Marbury & Hardaway for Nash-Q.Rich-Milos-Lampe to put around an already talented core of Stoud-Johnson-Marion-Barbosa.

If it was Marbury for Nash straight up I can bet you the suns wouldn't have done it. Just look at the weapons Nash has this yr. And there all freakishly athletic. Marbury only played with Stoud for 10games last season since Stoud was out with an injury and then Marbury got traded. Plus the yr Marbury did lead them to the playoffs they could have probably went to the finals if they were in the east coast. They lost 4-2 to the Spurs same as NJ. And Marbury outplayed Parker badly. Marbury-Hardaway-Johnson-Marion-Stoud-Voskul won 44games in the west that yr and lost in the first rd. Kidd-Kittles-KVH-Jefferson-Martin-Mac won 49 games in the east when it was the weakest it ever was. And Speaking of the Spurs they also defeated the Suns handly this season showing they aren't on there level.

Knicks don't have that type of talent that the Suns have this yr. And they have been hit with injuries while the Suns have been healthy. Knicks and Suns were both in 2 different situation when they made the trade. Knicks weren't able to rebuild since they would be over the cap until 07 so they needed to add a franchise player in his prime. Suns already had there franchise player in Stoud so they were able to move Marbury to clear up a ton of salary to be in the situation they are in now.

well I knew we wouldnt see you for awhile.. the Knicks were winning games and playing good ball. Its no suprise that a few injuries and a 4 game losing streak later you would start up with your wisdom again
Welcome back... but after this the Knicks have a pretty easy 10 game stretch. We will win some you will be gone. Then when we go out west and struggle you will post your wisdom again... towards the end of Jan.
Then when Isiah upgrades the frontcourt this offseason and drafts another kid ready to play right away you will dog his every move, and so on.
