Even people who love what he's done like Nixluva have admitted this year's failure was accidental.

I think getting Calderon was purposeful. He clearly could not stay healthy, which may have been predictable, but I certainly wasn't foreseeing injury to Calderon. I saw a 43% 3pt shoot PG that has decent assist numbers that looks pretty ideal for the Triangle. Did it work out? Not yet. I, personally, haven't given up on him though and expect him to be the starting PG next season (no stretch). I think he fits the model of Phil's system, even if he isn't a top 10 point guard. Could that remain a mistake? yeah.

Please, please somebody also tell me Calderone is worse (even hurt) than a healthy Ray Felton. I would love to read all about missing Ray Felton.

That's where we are now..Improving on Ray Felton??..Calderon is worse...Ray guided a 54 win team...But Calderon has a career on his own and he never been good...

I can't tell you what happened in Dallas..But we all saw him here..Phil said there are no takers..So there is that..

If you're referring to Calderone, I don't get your point, because fish just told you what he did in Dallas. There are really no takers for an injured PG at $7 mil per year? Wow.

You are trying to make it about Felton and its not..No matter how bad Felton is doesn't make the Calderon trade a good one..Dallas hung a 7 mil per anvil on that deal and we can't get out from under it..

That's why we have the stretch provision. I believe the Knicks could stretch his remaining 2 years $15 mil to about $3 mil per over 5 years. Not perfect but better than nothing if we can't move him.
