the only hope is Miami might be eliminated when the play their last game against Philly and they lose.

Minny is playing OKC and they will still be in the chase when they play.

What a messed up organization.

They tortured as all year with the worst record in the league only to start winning the final week of the season. Can't make it up. This proves that they were never tanking. They really were this bad. I like that You come away from this season that Galloway and Svhed could be players but the timing is just awful

Its why its called a "Lottery"..............

No 1. pick has a 75% chance of NOT being no. 1.

Our draft history over the past 29 years would make you a prophet. Well maybe not awful on average, but pretty close.

Yes, this is the measure of how brilliant the franchise you root for is. When Minnesota, who hasn't smelled the playoffs in over a decade, and Philly, who think the name of the game is to constantly own the keys to the cellar, shake their heads at you.

The thing is that the Knicks are still in the lottery. It's not like we just fell of it. We still have a shot to land #1 and even if we don't this is a VERY good draft.

Pick
# Team Traded To W L Balls #1 % Mock Draft Salary
1 Minnesota 16 65 250 25.0 Karl Towns $4,750,000
2 New York 17 64 199 19.9 Jahlil Okafor $4,250,000
3 Philadelphia 18 63 156 15.6 Emmanuel Mudiay $3,820,000
4 LA Lakers 21 60 119 11.9 D'Angelo Russell $3,440,000
5 Orlando 25 56 88 8.8 Justise Winslow $3,120,000
6 Sacramento 28 53 63 6.3 Willie Cauley-Stein $2,830,000
7 Denver 30 51 43 4.3 Mario Hezonja $2,590,000
8 Detroit 31 50 28 2.8 Kristaps Porzingis $2,370,000
9 Charlotte 33 48 17 1.7 Stanley Johnson $2,180,000

So in the end we did end up in the #2 spot for the lottery. Just looking at the likely prospects I like what I see in terms of the possible options. 1-5 looks pretty strong. My fave is Towns but I would be fine with Okafor as well. After that I actually think it's a bit of a toss up. None of the other players is without some kind of issue. Russell IMO is probably a pretty reliable player to not bust. Mainly due to the fact that he has 2 NBA level skills. His shooting and passing/handles. I feel pretty comfortable with Russell at 3.

I actually like Winslow at 4 personally. Even tho he's not really a SG but a SF. I think he could play at SG on our team in a similar way to how Butler plays. I think Winslow would be great next to any of our guards, Schved or Galloway. Absolutely LOVE his defense and hustle.

I'd take a chance on Mario Hezonja at 5. I just get a feeling that he'd be a wild card type like Manu Ginobili. Just a wild ball of energy that could really have an impact.
