![]() P.S. don't want to start a thread, but did anyone see this about Amare today? Unreal.
http://nypost.com/2015/03/11/amare-rips-mavericks-for-joking-while-wearing-cartoonish-outfit/ The Mavericks forward had some harsh words for his teammates following a 127-94 home thrashing doled out by LeBron James and the Cavaliers. “I came here to win, and we’re [4½] games out of being out of the playoffs, which is unacceptable,” Stoudemire said, according to ESPN.com. “This is something we can’t accept. We’ve got to find a way to refocus. We’ve got to key into the details of the game of basketball. We can’t cheat the game. We can’t screw around in games and practices and joke around all the time and figure we’re going to win games. This is the pros. It’s the highest level of basketball. We’ve got to act that way.” I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!

Dallas made the retarded move of bringing in Rondo. The guy is terrible and once again had everybody failing their Eye Test. It was a Bargs type move that made zero sense. How can these teams be so damn stupid and completely ignore the numbers / warning signs. Dallas has made some moves that turned out well but not this one. This was Dolanesque x 10. so here is what phil is thinking ....

Doesn't even realize how much it comes off as being about him and not the team. He wants a ring to go with his wine baths and he's not going to be shy about it. Rondo? Some clamored to bring him here. He's like an angry old crab now. Forget about him. He'd probably bite off Melo's head and spit it out like a barbie doll. I think the past few years have shown how very few players can impact teams over the length of their career. With injuries and fatigue diminishing longevity, it seems pretty clear that the max cat formula for winning a chip by buying a bunch of star veterans will be an anomaly from now on. Adding one to the mix on an already maturing team built from the draft and properly developed cheaper free agents is going to be the norm. I wouldn't be surprised if the average age of the winning teams is around 25 years old now. Old teams are fading. The game doesn't favor the experience of age like it used to. It is too grueling. Youth becomes a massive factor and that makes the possibility of any one team having a long term run less probably. San Antonio is the only one that has done it really. I'm not sure where you getting that from, it's the young guys that are breaking up like chop sticks. The roses, westbrooks, KD, Paul george,I'm not even going to mention the recent high picks that never even played a month of NBA action and were done for the season, parker noel, embiid, bennet ect. miami, dallas, san an, lakers, were all veteran teams. The young boys are still playing reckless, they're still proven themselves, sill piling up stats and looking in the mirror like..yeah I'm nice. Remember when the NJ nets with kidd, kmart and vince were breezing through the regular season, and getting swept in the finals. It wasn't until kidd slowed down that he was able to lead the mavs to a ring. Nash was a 2 time MVP, right system, much more mature. ES

I could be completely wrong as I was just wondering out loud. The injuries seem to get worse each year. Players sign these massive contracts and then break into pieces. Its just crazy. Well, whatever the statistical reality is, the schedule should be modified. Too many games as it is. Should be something like a 65 game season. That would be healthier for everyone involved. I don't care how much someone is being paid, they are getting torn to bits. I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!
