Above are 2 great links to use, any pick that isn't traded, it means the current team owns their pick, for instance Houston owns all of their 1st rounders in their future outside of this years pick going to Lakers for Lin
With all the trades that happened this trade deadline, it makes this summer's FA a lot weaker
I really hope that CA will recover and not be our next Allan Houston *if so I hope we will be able to have another amnesty in place after the next CBA when Durant/Noah/Lebron and many others will be UFA's*
He could be our next Houston/STAT/Kobe and like Billups has recently said, he is NOT a leader, he is not a good defender by any means, and not a facilitator while he is being paid as a franchise talent that should have these qualities
2015 first round draft pick from New Orleans
New Orleans' 1st round pick to Houston protected for selections 1-3 and 20-30 in 2015, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2016, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2017, 1-3 and 20-30 in 2018, 1-3 and 25-30 in 2019 and 1-3 and 25-30 in 2020; if New Orleans has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Houston by 2020, then New Orleans will instead convey its 2020 2nd round pick and 2021 2nd round pick to Houston [Houston-New Orleans-Washington, 7/15/2014]
2015 second round draft pick from New York
New York's 2015 2nd round pick to Houston [Houston-New York, 7/11/2012]
2016 second round draft pick from New York
New York's 2016 2nd round pick to Houston (via Portland to Sacramento then removal of protection from New York) [New York-Portland, 7/15/2012; New Orleans-Portland-Sacramento, 7/10/2013; New York-Sacramento, 8/6/2014; Houston-Sacramento, 9/17/2014]
2017 second round draft pick from Portland
Portland's 2017 2nd round pick to Houston [Houston-Portland, 7/10/2013]
Had CA had these qualities, both JR Smith and Iman Shumpert will not have struggled as much as they did on the Knicks but has elevated their games since they were traded instantly
We have to admit that we could have taken a huge risk in giving CA the contract he currently has in addition to this injury/age/inabilities
I wonder if teams teams will consider trading for CA this summer and what we could actually get back
If we can get back multiple picks in this draft and future drafts, while not costing us major contracts beyond 2017, CA should really consider it so he can join a contender and play as a 3rd option or 6th man role to a really strong team
If CA is willing to let his Ego go and waive his no trade clause to a contender, there are still many teams that can utilize his abilities to shoot and play bully ball
IT would allow him to play out the rest of his contract instead of being a #1 option with a rebuilding Knick's that has limited abilities in improving
Problem is for the Knick's, he is not the 1st piece to build around, especially at his age/weakness's/inabilities, but if he joins a team like Houston where Harden's ability to penetrate/facilitate/and finish takes away the opponents ability to focus on CA, while they also have many good defenders to make up for his defense
They also have the salaries to make it actually work, in addition to our own 2nd rounders the next couple of years, in addition to all of their 1st rounders and other teams 1st rounders as well *outside of this year's pick going to Lakers for Lin*
By next summer, I just do not see how we can build a team around CA at his current salary that would be LEGIT Championship contenders, unless Lebron James joins the NYK's and with the additions that Cleveland has made with JR Smith, MoSGOV, and Iman Shumpert, in addition to the picks that they will have this summer *less favorable 1st rounder between Chicago/Cleveland*, MLE, and chemistry gained from playing with each other with their core
