Granted $1.7mm off the cap isnt anything epic, but its that much more space and we get 2 picks back, so they turned a guy who was not part of the future at all and wasnt playing into more cap space and a couple 2nd rounders. Who knows, maybe Svedoosh plays really well here. Either way they helped themselves a bit.

only $300,000 was guaranteed for Pablo. but I agree, this move is better than nothing. take a look at Shved. 2nd round picks could be trade fodder or decent role players. Pablo was done here.

#Knicks used trade exception to make the deal work - one they got from January.

Was flying as Prigioni was dealt. Two 2nd-rounders for him is a great haul. Doesnt shock me at all that analytics-friendly tm would want him

lol you are lost. two 2nd round picks for prigionni is a good trade. the dude is almost 40 and isn't playing for us. two 2nd rounders is a great trade, you're the one who's lost.

really, the rockets are contenders, those picks will be in the 55, 56 range. Go look at how many players pick that low even made training camp, let alone a roster spot. Prigs can help any contender right now

Shved might be able to play PG in the triangle, albeit really poorly

Adios Prigioni. You had a nice run in NY. Best wishes.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

i am not sure Houston can keep mcdanials. he would be a nice addition for next year. he is a fa and qualifies for the poison pill provision.

Yes he moves the ball. I had him in my Melo for Derrick Williams, buddinger & picks trade 3yrs ago. He has been awful since leaving Minnesota though. But he's worth a look. Not expecting anything

Cmon dude, stop convincing yourself this was a good trade and go do your research, 2nd rnd picks end up in the d league, or overseas.

This was a "at least i did something trade"

Phils moves scream of inexperience. He basically traded all his veterans to winning teams, did them all a favor, and essentially kick rocks on the fans who pay extraodinary price for seats, and fans that spend 200 bucks(like myself) for league pass.

Of course you want to keep as many veterans as you can when your grooming young talent and a young clueless coach

I really think this bashing of Phil is extremely premature. You have yet to see what he actually does with the roster for next season. Until we see that it's really hard to kill the guy when he was working with the mess they left him originally. Now he's going to have a roster that more closely reflects his philosophy. So until we see who he drafts and who he signs in FA it makes little sense to go nuts on the guy.

Phil is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't with some fans. Really can't win not that he will let the haters get to him one bit. He is continuing to clear the decks of the dross and there will be further outs as well as the exciting prospect of the new roster come the summer. Bitching about anything and everything just now is kinda funny as if its making any difference. The time to judge Phil will be in the fall of 2015 and 2016 not just now when he is ridding us of the considerable deadwood.
