I've never understood the fascination with DLee in a forum that hypes the importance of defense. Stat was a meaningless double double (almost), but second round David doing the same thing I guess is a bargain?

Is it about basketball or does it just always come down to being about the money?

I play because I love the game. I post because I love the Knicks.

People talk up defense but it's not more (or less) important than offense. Lee is a good player who earned a few all-star performances even though he's not a superstar.

That's easy to answer. Despite the jazz hands, he was homegrown talent. He's the last Knick All-Star draftee since Mark Jackson.

And yes, there is definitely a money/value aspect to it. For a team with chronic cap issues, DLee represent one of the few times in the last 30 years we weren't overpaying for talent.

its funny. Spree was probably the Knick I was REALLY excited about. It hurt to trade Starks, but I remember the buzz around Spree. Then he suited up, played his tail off in a preseason game, scored 20 in the 3rd qtr in his debut (anyone remember that????) and was almost instantly one of my fav Knicks ever. Plus in the middle of a game he took the time go curse out Dolan to his face, much to Mike Breen's on the air chagrin.

I once thought that showed no class, now I think it was spot on.

We have won a few trades, but marginally. We have lost a lot of trades.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
